Entertainment Earth is getting the first exclusive toys for a line that has been dormant for 30 years.

They're minitures and the box art is done just like the Original toys

You can see they've modernized the Dinosaurs as well. The rex no longer walks upright and the Diplodocus no longer walks like a Lizard.

The humans are around 1 inch tall and the dinosaurs are roughly 7 inches long at most.

The whole set retails for about 20 bucks which is way cheaper than war gaming miniatures of similar size. But I'm not sure of the plastic type used, they do look fairly detailed up close.

This may lead to full size toys down the line, Mattel also owns the toy rights to Jurassic park and outside of a few missing species they could just straight up repaint some and give them armor and tiny people and they would be good to go.

Outside of 3 toy waves waves + the Ice Age wave, the 13 episodes cartoon series, and the comic books nothing really else exists. There was a line of Smithsonian Dinosaurs and Prehistoric beasts that gutted the walking electronics and used the Dino Riders Molds, but that was never officially part of Dino Riders.

That's rad.

I was just thinking that those would be perfect for a tabletop game.

I'm buying a set expressly for that purpose; been wanting to get back into painting anyways, and I have a bunch of old Rifts & GURPS sourcebooks that have dino's, iirc.

I def wanna port them into something that has mechs.

Actually the Cadillacs and dinosaurs toys from 1993 made around the same time as kenner's Jurassic Park toys did reuse some dinosaurs from the dino riders line just with all the mechanics and electronics gutted
Yeah they had 4 of them, I forgot about them even though I have 3 out of the 4 Dinos from that Line.

The original Dino Riders line had 29 figures, 25 if you remove Ice Age, and 22 if you remove the three Wave 3 Dinos that had a limited release (Pachyrhinosaurus, Chasmosarus, and the Spotted Yellow Pterosaur)

It's not a big line, especially since some dinos got re-used or retooled on both sides (Triceratops was remade into Torosaurus, Styracosaur was remade into Monoclonius, both sides had Raptors, both sides had Pterosaurs). The three big toys were the Apatosaurus, the T-Rex, and the Diplodocus.

>They don't have the Ankylosaurus.

I wanted it for when I can roll up a druid again. :(
Me and my brother had the Triceratops, Ankylosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus and possibly something else. I think the Triceratops lost a leg so we scrapped it. What happened to the other, I don't know.

For some reason that site is very hard to find through Google. Don't know why.

Heard about this, definitely interested as a dino toy autist. I'm not really into gaming minis though I can imagine these will be fantastic for those who are.

I love the Mattel JP toys though, probably the biggest current plastic shit draining my wallet.
