Game fuel was great. Someone I know still has a case on a display shelf with some other halo crap.
He should be careful with that case if the cans haven’t been opened and their contents drained, the acids in some sodas can actually eat away at the can’s inner lining and cause microscopic holes to form and cause leakage.

How do I know this? It happened to me with some old Mountain Dew cans I had in storage.

Bought one of the citrus cherry Game Fuels the other day. Hadn’t had it since they did their World of Warcraft promotion back around 2008 or so. Dunno if they changed the formula or I’m just old but it doesn’t taste the same, just sickeningly cloying sweet. Had to go brush my teeth and rinse out my mouth after drinking it because it felt like it was just clinging like sludge inside my mouth.

Thread tax: I haven’t seen them in ages but I miss coffee flavored Nips. They were these little hard chewy candies I used to get as a kid.

You can't discontinue this

Cheeseburger pizza is fantastic, but everywhere I go for it fucks it up in some way. Either they meme it up with bacon or do something truly retarded like replacing the pizza sauce with bbq sauce.

Haven't had a decent one in years.

The munchie menu is truly dead with J-box discontinuing the Sriracha sauce in favor of yet more chicken sandwiches for faggots.

Essentially what you would do is order a jumbo jack, customize it with the sriracha sauce, and add the onion rings to the burger yourself.

You can't do that anymore.

Fuck chicken sandwiches. Stupid meme.

Those stupid honey chicken tenders are sweet and nasty, Otoya Yamaguchi, but you can still get them at dollar tree.

Halo Dew is also supposed to be returning soon.

re: Cheez waffies - Never had them, but I know exactly the dry cheese paste they must have had. I wish you could just buy that cheese paste. Closest I can get to it is six dollars, and it's not worth six dollars.

I know absolutely no one was waiting on my opinion, but the Sky Valley Sriracha sauce is decent.

I still miss Trader Joe's Monteli pizza bros. :sigh:

I miss old girl scout cookies. Whatever bullshit they did when I unexiled myself from everything at ~2015 really fucked it up and then covid came and fucked it up even more.
Did you happen to move a large distance in that time period? Because Girl Scout cookies are produced by two companies, depending on where in the US you are, and they tend to have a slightly different taste.

Edit: Okay, apparently not. I guess they just suck now.

So, I just learned (when I tried to find it to make holiday tarts) that the major US brand of mincemeat filling, None Such, has been discontinued.

Fortunately, I was able to get a jar of it. It will apparently be my last. Fuck you, Smuckers, who is apparently their parent company.

This means there isn't a major US manufacturer of mincemeat in this country. A couple of smaller "artisan" type brands that cost 3-4x as much, but other than that, I'm going to have to import it next year, or go through the hassle to make my own.

RIP delicious pie filling.

There will never be a better ice cream sandwich. It was universally loved and I have no fucking clue why they just decided to axe it one day. It was mostly the godly-tasting biscuits.
Prolly because its one letter away from the gamer word.
Its the same thing that happened to Ayds, the weight loss drug

That's awful honestly.

It's making me rather pleased that whenever I need mince, I know how to make it myself since the filling is useful for a lot of casserole or meat pie dishes. But it's still garbage given how useful it sometimes is to plop and dump if you can't be fucked.

I probably can make it, I've got a few recipes. It's just a lot of ingredients that I don't normally have on hand, like currant and sultanas, candied peel, brandy, suet, etc. And then I think you have to let it sit for a couple weeks or a month or something for the flavors to combine.

Holy shit, thread crossover.

I don't think I've ever had it. I'm not even sure what it is. But I've never even seen it served anywhere. No one I've known has made it. I've only read about it or seen it in old movies. Maybe it's just not that popular. Like with fruitcake, which is actually good. I feel like people who have never had fruitcake hate fruitcake because it's been a movie meme forever.
