Discord Warning system

This is both a response to you & more of a general comment but uh...Literally switch platforms. If they refuse to switch then kill the server. I'm not even joking. You can host a matrix server on alot of stuff and you don't specifically have to use matrix either. Rocket chat is a thing, arguably tox chat but not really. Like legit, just get an dell optiplex or hell even something like a zimaboard and you can host your own matrix server for element. It can even interact with other servers if you really want it to and ddns takes care of any changing ip address issues.
I appreciate the response, but it didn't answer my question at all.

OP is not fake. Per Discord themselves https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/18210965981847-Discord-Warning-System

The only thing is when you read directly from the source it isn't clear what is and isn't affected, hence my questions. It says this new system exists, but not if it solely affects public servers, affects everyone, or to what extent it is implemented. Over all its a terrible release.

Good. I hope that this change will finally kill it. I'm sick of gatekept download links for video game mods. I'm sick of niche communities turning into another fucking Discord server. I'm sick of hearing about ANOTHER FUCKING PEDO DRAMA that involves shitty Discord moderation.
Discord is Internet's brain cancer. The world could've been a better place if Discord never existed, since there's nothing good that emerged from it. The only reason people even began to use it is because Microsoft made Skype shit.
I was looking for small mods for old version of Minecraft and found a community that uploads ALL of its mods on Discord WHILE LEAVING THEIR FUCKING GITHUB EMPTY. THERE'S LITERALLY NOTHING THERE ASIDE FROM AN API THEY MADE FOR A MODLOADER. ISN'T IT FUN TO UPLOAD YOUR FUCKING CODING PROJECTS ON A SEMI-PRIVATE CHAT?
FUCK THIS SHIT. I HOPE IT WILL CRASH WITH NO SURVIVORS.

Discords Reddit had some more info it is the same system that always has existed you have to be reported but now an ai will look at your message instead of a real person. It seems it also is to stop people getting banned when entire servers get hacked and deleted and they just ban all users.

There aren't going to be too many public spaces left that aren't totally sterilized. Discord is rapidly becoming more and more pozzed each day. IRC exists but, it's hardly relevant these days.
I see Matrix and Guilded here but, I have no idea how many people actually use these. Are there communities of people left untouched by the taint that consumes the entire net? how does one hear about someone's server aside from having a friend tell you about them. Do you need to be in the right place at the right time? Is there some kind of directory?

It's going to come back on them, they're going to lose half of their current users, just guessing from voluntary account deletion.

Back to TeamSpeak I guess
IRC is still a thing in 2023 (and probably will be in 2123, let's face it) so there is that.

Otherwise, systems such as this are just begging to be used to do a little trolling, remember the trainwreck that is Minecraft's chat reports system? Exactly.
PS: Microsoft can now terminate your MC account for saying the magic gamer word on a realm run by MS, even if nobody reports it. The only thing between you and a block game account ban is a boomer-janny at MS and possibly someone with a report button (I just don't use the chat anymore)

I completely forgot Mumble was a thing. Brings back memories. I forget why people dropped it in favour of Skype. I think it was the lack of a convenient way to make a private server, but I don't remember.

It used to crash a LOT mid raid for people and when it crashed it would take your entire computer out with it.

Haven't seen any screenshots of it in action yet. Is this GDPR respecting system even live yet?

Since the initial articles and the response articles too it I've heard nothing about it. No whining on reddit about being effected by it, etc.
