"Disgusting, disturbing and distressing": Cat in a blender video sparks widespread outrage online

An extremely distressing video of a cat in a blender has been making its rounds across social media platforms. Despite several websites having strict community guidelines towards sensitive content, the concerning video has continued to spread like wildfire. Internet users were horrified by the video and urged fellow netizens not to share it further on.

The cat clip appeared online today and was quick to go viral. Many could not believe that a person could torture a feline by placing it in such traumatic conditions. Netizens have been doing their best to find the person behind the heinous act and report them to authorities.

As the video continues to make its rounds online, netizens have been reacting to the same. Several internet users expressed sadness over the video. Many noted that they were traumatized to see the cat being tortured in the blender.

Several internet users continued to share the clip to raise awareness for animal cruelty. However, the circulation of the clip seems to be doing more harm than good.

As mentioned prior, internet users were far from pleased to see the feline video. Many expressed rage over the video and could not believe that someone would hurt animals in such a manner. Several netizens hoped that the person behind the video would be held accountable for their actions.

The viral clip had mostly gone viral on Twitter at the time of writing this article. The social media platform often does not tolerate any gory or violent content generally. They define sensitive content as:

“Media that is excessively gory or share violent or adult content within live video or in profile or header images. Media depicting s*xual violence and/or assault is also not permitted.”
The only exemption the platform makes is if the content is from a documentary or educational.

The viral video does not seem to be educational in any manner and is evidently violating the community guidelines. One can report the video. Often times, Twitter is quick to remove such content from the platform.

Don't most of those serial killers start off abusing animals being moving on to real people?

I think people should keep on eye on that person.
No, most Chinese murderers obsessed with certain animal, not in reverse. "People Eater" Zhang Yongming fed his dog with human remain, "Family slaughter" Zhou Shaohua killed a whole family over a missing dog, Lao Rongzhi, Ma Jigang and Zhu Xiaodong all have sick obsession over cats and dogs.

Let me remind you, he wasn't arrested for animal cruelty but because what he done had a bad influence on web. There's literally no law in China against somebody from doing so, therefore the police just take him in for "Picking quarrels and provoking trouble".
Isn't there some insane Chinsect belief where if they horrifically torture an animal before killing and consuming it, it "tastes better"?

I can watch stomach some gross stuff, but not clicking that spoiler. As if we didn't have enough reasons to nuke Beijing...
Blending a cat is not something I need to see. The description is enough. Hope they throw the guy into the buisness end of a hot dog factory, but knowing them, probably will just get let out because they already eat dogs. Sigh :(

You really end up wondering how someone mentally justifies blending a kitten. At any point until turning the blender on there must have been a thought like "am i really going extinguish this innocent kittens life?" how do you mentally argue against yourself to justify going through with it?

It's 8am. I'm eating french toast, while drinking a chunky veggie smoothie. That video doesn't even phase me. I've seen worse, I've known worse. Humanity produces awful people.

Never any justification for a potential serial killer.

I don't think they think beyond themselves; other beings are objects to them, just a bit more reactive and therefore exciting. To them it's an exercise in 'curiosity' and 'trolling' the audience. What happens when I blend this, I'll bet people will freak out etc.

It's dangerous retardation and a turd that needs fishing out of the gene pool.

Wake up babe, new bunny crusher video just dropped.

There's been stuff like this on the Chinese internet for years, somehow this one crossed the great firewall.

I remember when I was on 4chan years ago, and came across one of those videos obviously filmed for some person who was paying for it online. The cries of the animal is still unholy to me.

I've never seen a thread on /b/ before where 100% of the replies tell the OP to absolutely fucking kill himself.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't turn everything from Mongolia to Taiwan into a giant fucking novelty ashtray

This is why we have nuclear weapons. Let's use some.

It's amazing how much compassion we can have for animals, even more than for other human beings.

Chinese = nonhuman.

COVID and now this. They are nonhuman and must be euthanized.
Please don't pretend that animal abuse is contained to China, or that it's even normalized. Not only were the reactions to the video negative, they arrested the guy-- this is clearly against their norms and sensibilities.
