Disney being bankrupt will be an interesting happening. In a sane worldthey could probably easily cover their debt by selling a good chunk of bloat they have (not even IPs, but all the companies they bought that should have been stopped by anti trust laws).

But this is clown world, Disney will demand the USA government will bail them out and they'll happily oblige.

I dunno, right now Disney's having trouble dealing with the government on the state level. Desantis absolutely is on the warpath against Disney right now after the recent shit they pulled on him.

What's meatball gonna do, campaign in another state at them?
I mean he controls their only actual stream of income right now. Luckily for Disney, he's to weak and stupid to actually wring anything from them with that control.

But the state of Florida isn't the feds, who would bail Disney out (either overtly or through Fed stock manipulations) in a heartbeat. The big question is how long that would last, because Disney will NEVER make anything that sells or generates legitimate interest again. So if they keep bombing on movies and other large investment bullshit, it will be interesting to see how long and in what manner they have their corpse propped up. I guess the most likely scenario is that they'll just scale back on their spending in movies and have $40M bombs instead of $350M bombs.

They could restructure and play fucky games easily enough. Bundle the profitable ips and the parks in Disney company proper, spin off most of the movies and other bullshit into a separate company (that also gets to live with most of the debt).

Their biggest problem is going so hard on star wars as to spend billions of dollars on star wars theme parks. (That is also why its impossible for them to pivot on the sequel trilogy) So lucasfilm cant really be sold off other wise they will kill the only part of disney wars that makes them any money now. (I cant see anyone buying lucasfilm without the licensing attached)

They are repeating the mistake with marvel which is showing signs of franchise exhaustion.

Lol no one reads books anymore, let alone Wikipedia about books. Fan fiction only exists for horny women to shlick to, they don't read anything else.
A lot of people don't know that Disney made movies based on books either, besides Alice in Wonderland. Besides 101 Dalmatians; The Fox and the Hound, Mary Poppins, and Winnie the Pooh were based on books, that I know of for sure.

Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Rescuers, The Black Cauldron, Oliver and Company, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Treasure Planet, and Meet the Robinsons were all based on books/short stories.

At this rate, I'm expecting The Matterhorn to fall apart for good by the end of the decade. The parks being in disarray for a long time is about ready to bite Disney in the ass.

Now this is just homebound parks, but what about the foreign parks? How're they holding up?

Regarding the state of the park, I found this interesting bit of info.View attachment 5083312
Get ready to see more rides go up in flames.
don't worry, we can just get those super creatives to march right up to any failing machine and scream "i'm a wamminz/poc, and you will work or else you are racist/sexist/etc."

The foreign parks are owned and operated by the foreign people. Disney Japan has banned vloggers and influencers from filiming because nobody wanted to deal with that.

The really scary thing is how loosey goosey ride engineering really is. All the safety shit is just guess work. Its not strenously tested which weights and tolerances are possible and what the tolerances are for real. Disney errs on the side of caution. But caution costs money....

Apparently King Triton was a big ol’ man-whore.

This might be the biggest and best example of “forced diversity” I’ve seen in a while.

Some people got their movie tie-in novel early.

They also redid the World of Disney Ariel book to be this one.

Few more trailer also came out which show just how horrible the cgi is....Flounder is looking kinda...bad.

Again, Ariel looks very messy and not-royal in her design, now especially compared to her sisters who all have significantly better colour pallets for their skin and hair colour, prettier scale patterns, better hairstyles and overall more clean looks and accessories.
She looks like a complete peasant compared to her dark-skin sister, who actually looks like she could be the star in her own movie.

The stylists seem to really hate her specifically lol.

Man, Ariel’s actress really does have a very noticeable amount of space between her eyes. Like now that I know it’s there, I can’t not see it.
