It certaintly would be interesting if Illumination could make an effort to really step up their game in terms of the quality of their films. At least, the Culture War YTers seem to be hyping them up that way.

The mangaka basically gets tard-wrangled a bit by his editor. There's a literal joke in the fandom about him being of his meds whenever the series goes a bit hardcore.

The pre-crush anime were largely imported after the economic bubble burst in the early 90ies. Although the importation did start in the mid-late 80ies. That's if you're referring to the largely uncensored anime Streamline, Viz, U.S. Manga Corps, Animeigo and others were doing.

Another detail is the studios were/are allowed to fail and shutdown to be replaced by newer animation studios. As market competition already is king over there and have been since WWII ended.

When people want burgers they prefer McDonalds if the alternative is places that want to make you feel bad for eating meat, want to deconstruct the idea of what a burger is and how point out how dumb you are for liking burgers, or swap the patties for vegetarian meat substitutes.

I don't know what they're concerned about. Disney just realized that trademarks are already immortal without any need for lobbying or bribery. That will be what protects their control of Mickey Mouse in the future. All that will change is that you'll be able to upload Steamboat Willie to YouTube in its entirety and get copyright struck because Fuck You instead of copyright struck because it is actually still infringement.

I do think its kinda funny that I used to see hordes of autistic girls screeching about Annabeth in that movie being a brunette instead of blonde and when the series was announced they were very excited for an Annabeth who actually looks the part, but now they're probably still mad but can't say shit without their fellow autists calling them racist lmaoo

Though I do feel bad for the girl playing Annabeth in a way I didnt for Bailey and Zegler bc if I remember correctly shes like 13 years old, but Disney could've and should've expected this, so whatever happens is their and Riordans responsibility and they should probably have done a better job protecting her or whatever

Riodans writing has been going to shit also, his book about norse mythology had a genderliquid sassy mexican child of loki as the main love interest and the writing is as cringe as youd expect so him working on the show in his current state doesnt bode well

Hunger Games and Suzanne Collins is the superior young adults series anyway.

Most recent novel and movie "Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" is about a White Aryan Chad seizing power.
1) His Chink classmate gets killed for stealing credit on his essay.
2) His Mullato classmate never learns his lesson and constantly has his rich father buy him out of trouble only to be latter executed for treason.
3) His Rich white libtard classmate gets stabbed in the neck for being a dumb libtard showing off to and mocking her Tribute (who has nothing to lose from killing her)

Not to mention how in the original trilogy the Capitol is filled with weird libtards and Trannies and the rebels are all White working class (besides the Niggers working the fields in District 11)

Not killed, in the book Dr Gaul is experimenting on her and slowly turning her into a reptile person I think.
I like to imagine that those humanoid looking sewer creatures in mockingjay where the result of her experimenting on asians

Also im pretty sure the only characters in the og triology implied to be gay where some of the people buying Finnick (as young as 15 afaik) while he was forced into prostitution lmao, at least he wasnt explicitly saying it was only women, using only gender neutral language, and i think in another book it was said he had both female and male admirers

I didn't know where else to put this, but considering most if the music came from Disney or the Sherman brother's, I figured this was as good a place as any. I watched the Dick Van Dyke 98th birthday special and it really showed just how lazy we've gotten in our entertainment.

They would show clips of Dick Van Dyke's career and the dances he would have to learn, then cut to a live performance that was seriously dumbed down. He would even comment on the steps they were supposed to do, but didn't and would tell stories about how he and the other dancers wouldn't stop until they got it right.

Then at one point there was a truly bizarre dance number set in a living room that was uncomfortable to watch with the dancers contorting their face in weird ways. They also had updated versions of some of the songs he sang in various movies and the only one that I liked was Rufus Wainwright's Hush-a-bye Mountain. I thought the whole special helped highlight how much lower our standards as a whole have become.
