I think that's where we disagree. It's a big, weird world, I could believe there's a handful of unhinged Rachel Zegler ultrafans out there who will see this movie because of her, but by and large if you're in the market to see a Disney live-action remake, you'll be seeing it regardless of the cast.
I think a big problem with this one is also that snow white definitely isn't one of the most popular disney movies to begin with.
The og movie is a classic and a great show of animation, but its old timey, not broadway-esque, not quippy and with a fairly simple plot.
When looking at Disney adult women, most of them are way more into stuff like beauty and the beast, little mermaid, and even the movies that came out when they were older like frozen.
Promo has also been eh in general, I learned it came out from this sub while even the little hammerhead shark I saw proper ads for and some irl hype around it.
Now ive heard no one, not even friends, acquaintances or relatives who are way more into this stuff usually than I am talk about it. Even on reddit most ive heard was israeli gadot glazing/palestine boycotts.
Looking at the local premiere in 2 days, theres like 1 row where there are 10 seats right next to eachother booked, presumably for a kids bday party, and not a single other seat in the whole room.
At least live remake Cinderelles dress was gorgeous and it was more of a period piece kind of style, at least remake sleeping beauty had an interesting hook by making it about angelina jolie maleficent instead, what does this have aside from shoehorned girlbossing thats already been done better by the live action snow white movies from a decade ago anyways?
