Meanwhile, I caught a glimpse of something on Twitter, some pics of Sanders were posted, like a sketch of a character from his pre-L&S comic strip "Kiskaloo" about two sisters in Alaska living with a talking one-eyed cat that used to be a villainous sidekick in action films. The kernel of what would become L&S was in there. This is what Sanders was working on after he left his project "American Dog", due to various issues, which would later be realized as 2008's "Bolt".

As well as some of his pinups. Plenty of "normal people" in the quote tweets.

These Sanders drawings were done back when men in animation, cartooning and comics were allowed to like pretty women and show them off in their work. But thankfully HR got rid of those guys so now all American cartoons have to be made bland like sub-Cocomelon CGI garbage, beanmouth crap and animated sitcoms about how adulting is hard featuring fat-bodied, frog-mouthed characters with twig-limbs.

I can never take “ugh, men and their hypersexualized women” posts seriously because I know there’s plenty of perverted women out there too. Hell, I just saw someone being like “Ugh, men and their sexy video games! Just watch porn! I LOVE watching gay porn!”
Anyways, I’m really missing art styles like that. The humor’s pretty good too, the one with the whale got a chuckle out of me.

*post L&S comic

You can smell the jealousy. Sanders accomplished more with one movie than these people will in their entire careers. Twice.

Five bucks says you could give them a whole day and Sanders ten minutes and Sanders would make prettier art than them.

Right, right, I got that mixed up somehow, realized it too late, that is not how the post was composed in my head. What a stupid mix-up on my part, and I pride myself on getting details (usually) right.

Anyway, my problems with those people still stand, they're spiteful little goblins who often cry about "workers rights" then cry that artists who draw sexy women should be fired for thought crimes. I don't think it will be long until even "safe horny" fetishes like muscle women these reddit-brains make performative displays of "appreciation" for start getting the same kind of ire.

Disney has been doing the woke shit for a long time but I think this is the first example I've seen where they let the writers just completely fucking wreck what would have been a very easy paycheck and franchise boost, just because they're bitter retarded niggerfaggots and eggless whores.

Lilo and Stitch already had the typical blase wokeoid shit Disney craves by default and people still fucking loved it. It featured brown minority people, a character lineup so diverse it included fucking aliens, a crossdressing alien that no one got upset about, themes of girl power and sisterhood and all that shit. These retards could have just remade the animated version shot for shot and even if it looks like goofy trash CGI people would be eating it up and Disney would regain some fan capital.

But NOPE! Sure they're brown and all, but Nani must GIRLBOSS and SLAY KWEEN SLAY and the only way to have that happen is by giving Lilo away to fuck all knows who and running off to California.

The propaganda is so fucking blatant the only way it'd be more obvious whose message this sells would be if the tickets said "kosher" on them.

The OG looks like blase wokeoid shit from a modern lens. However:
It featured brown minority people
Those brown minorities were actual three-dimensional characters with realistic flaws. Can't do that today.
a character lineup so diverse it included fucking aliens
ditto. Also those alien designs were creative and took perfect advantage of the non-realistic nature of animation.
a crossdressing alien that no one got upset about
Crossdressing that was played as a joke.

Again, can't do that today, for fear of offending the troons, which is why Dean Fleshlight-Cuck (the director of the remake) tried once and then gave up.
themes of girl power and sisterhood
Themes that the movie supported all the way through, conveyed through those three-dimensional characters.

I just saw that The Nostalgia Critic posted a video covering The Emperor's New Groove

I'll just say it: The Emperor's New Groove has one of the BEST third acts of any Disney movie. It made me laugh hard as a kid, and it's still every bit as funny as an adult. It's a perfect example of how great of a medium animation is. I saw it in theaters with my family as a kid, and it made me laugh so hard I literally cried.

God help us all if this one gets ruined with a remake, too.

Re: new Lilo and Stitch - how in the world do you mess up something as simple as "family looks after family regardless of how often you butt heads?"

Then again, Disney is now run by people who are akin to Redditor hedonists; they'd love to dump a child in their care off of someone else so they can whoop it up at college in California of all places. I figure they decided to ruin it given they hate concepts like responsibility and self-sacrifice so a child relative can have a chance because there is nobody else in her life.

I’m just now remembering some comments I saw about this being an ongoing trend in Disney movies. First there was Wreck-It Ralph 2, where Vanellope abandoned her game and friends to be in some other game (in the first movie this would’ve been her Going Turbo, but that’s never brought up). Toy Story 4 has Woody abandoning his friends and Bonnie to be a lost toy with Bo Peep, and I’m pretty sure that goes against his views on how important it is to stay with his kid. And now we have Nani leaving Lilo to go study fish miles across the ocean because something something not leaving yourself behind. So many messages about how abandoning your loved ones is okay as long as it’s for your own selfish desires…

"Hypersexualization" :story:

I'm tired of seeing fatties parading their bodies as being "strong and brave" and forcing others to accept their lunacy. The people harping out loud about "hypersexualization" try way too hard at compensating for their massive inferiority.

If you get a chance, listen to David Spade talk about this one (I heard it on his and Carvey's podcast, forget who they were interviewing). Apparently they had spent about 18 months rehearsing and developing a completely different story, then Disney changed heads and they basiclally threw Groove together in about 6 months, from blank page to audioscript and wireframes.

Think Disney coild do that now?

That's wild.

Because, man, in that third act, none of the jokes miss. And the jokes are constant.

maybe it just means "people you want to have hypersex with"
also maybe a generra hypercolor shirt joke but I cant figure it out quick

yeah iirc it was a mostly straight thing until very late into development?

“Objectification” stopped working, and so did “sexualization”, so they had to come up with a new term, “hypersexual”.

I’ve heard about this. Apparently Yzma also has an unused villain song, which honestly goes REALLY hard.

Yep it was originally Kingdom of the Sun. Kuzco was basically the avatar or physical representation of the Incan Sun God and Yzma was an alchemist And a necromancer who wanted the God of Darkness Supei to take over the world and unleash all sorts of monsters as revenge for all the years of raising a thankless Kuzco and robbing her of her youth.

It was a Prince and the Pauper-ish plot. There's a whole documentary on it.
