Honestly what more can they do with Sparrow? The guy has to be in his 60's or late 50's in the most recent movie. They were flanderizing him hard playing up the whole buffonish, eccentric side of him of instead having him bounce off people and actually show signs of insight and competency. Not to mention something even more important, the Age of Sails/Pirates was ending by the time of AWE. The Bretheren Court could drive away the EIC for now but they still have greater numbers, a bigger presence and more resources. There was no scenario where that level of piracy could thrive anymore and the trilogy ended on that note but alluding to maybe one last possible grand adventure. View attachment 7456897

You'd be right, hence why many, including myself, are looking back at the trilogy more fondly since it felt like there was a story to tell there and the following two plots felt weaker in comparison. But after the Amber case, people want to see Depp back at it again, at the top of his game, showing the world he stumbled but didnt fall. Im sure we would all be satisfied just to see the PoTC universe and Sparrow one last time.

Also

That exchange between Barbosa and Jack had no right to be that insightful and being applicable to so many things, including the transition from childhood to adulthood.

"Thats a sad commentary in and of itself..."

felt kinda bad for him and then I read that he found airtags in all of his vehicles "including his Rolls Royce"
and then my eyes just started rolling on their own

:story: Pudgy Johnny is an old drug addict and alcoholic who has hit the wall and he sure looks like it. There will be no more "top of the game" for him. He should do what a 62-year-old female Pedowood celebrity turned cokehead hobo would've done a very long time ago, that is, retire as an actor instead of cosplaying as a pirate in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Rise of Skywalker Sparrow.

Pirates of the Caribbean should've ended after the third movie at most, and at best after the first movie.

Before I relegate this remake to the dustbin of my personal consciousness, I've joked and raged and posted dank memes, but this picture? It sums up everything.

It sums up my feelings, the remake, and Disney's horrible treatment of this franchise in general. It serves as the perfect visual representation of my anguish at how completely and utterly they butchered arguably their most original, satisfying, and immaculately crafted movie. One final "fuck you" to Dean Fleischer-Camp, Chris Bright, Mike Van Waes and Bob Iger for the road.

Edit: and an extra-special deep-fried "fuck you niggercattle faggots" for enabling Disney's retarded behavior by giving them your goddamn money for a lesser version of an already perfectly fine movie you could watch at home.

There's no beating Flow, Disney. A guy rendering the entire movie on his own computer blew all of your recent releases out of the water in terms of artistic merit.

I hope this film isn't as obnoxiously Italian as Luca
as in, the flanderized version of what Americans think Italy is
I know the guy directing it was actually Italian but it comes off as so inauthentic, just because something like half the plot is centered around a fucking Vespa and the entire film feels like it's screaming pasta pizzabolla talking hands and accents in your face nearly nonstop when it isn't doing the overwrought drama between fish people
It genuinely made Luca hard to watch at times so I hope it's toned down a little past the inevitable opening montage in this one
