Some weeks ago I was in Tokyo and used the opportunity to visit DisneySea (full day) and Disneyland (half day). I'd say that the park itself is mediocre, especially compared to Universal in Osaka, but buying an evening ticket in both is worth it merely because those parks look absolutely amazing in the dark, especially DisneySea.

It did make me laugh the realization that Disney is outright saintly compared to the average Japanese megacorp.

That's only true for Japanese theaters, Versa has only received a small 1-week run at the El Capitan Theater for the US and I don't think it's had a "wider" release outside of two stints.

This is why i'm pissed that ABC never capitalized on the muppets, they should have been the original podcast/youtube show. like the muppet show was a semi-parody/homage to these crappy variety shows that were already dying when it came on.

We should have been forced to watch the Annoying Orange and Fred and Miranda Sings interact with these stupid puppets and participate in skits. turn the muppets into the AA ball of the disney machine. You aren't worthy of sag but you are worthy of being forced to interact with puppets. I swear early youtubers would have loved it, i can already see Doug Walker putting on his A-Game while AVGN mocks him with the two guys in the balcony. Tobuscus sings his songs with the muppets and pewdiepie does a YLYL where all the clips are muppet parodies of those types of videos.

Even the artform of puppetry is perfect for vertical short form content. pump out thousands of quick skits with them interacting with the flavor of the day. making the muppets some A-list star studded show defeats what they're about. They're the original "not ready for prime time" players. they're the original Vtubers. the 1970s version of Kiwifarms wanted anyone that enjoyed the muppets to be sterilized. Sam the Eagle is a parody of half this fucking site

tbh I could go on for a minute that the muppets really don't work outside of The Muppet Show and similar joke things of "the freakshows who couldn't even make it on SNL, but people who are sorta famous are working with them"
Jim really wanted to make them Mickey fucking Mouse and him riding that shit into the grave damned the IP

Just a personal observation. It's not uncommon at all for kids to wear dresses based on characters that aren't the same race as them, and the Asian kids seemed to pick Cinderella most often from what I saw.

If you mean you don't get why they pick Cinderella, I have no idea.
