War.

War. We all know what it is. We are all too familiar with war. Be it the physical kind or the ideological kind. Be it the screeching of autists from a million miles away or the thundering crack of exploding rockets and artillery shells on urban cities. But why do conflicts like these occur? What pushes mere disagreements into escalated conflicts resulting in massive amounts of destruction and the loss of life? What pushes the powers that be to decide whether or not an official or unofficial declaration of war is necessary or justified? Why does it have to take massive amounts of bloodshed to eventually decide that this conflict is not really worth it and should've been resolved in a different, non-destructive way? What pushes people to destroy others and in turn themselves for whatever reasons, agenda, or motives they hold?

Was there ever a righteous war? Was there a war that could've been averted had there been other viable options for discourse and conflict resolution? Was there ever a war that was truly justified?

I have a personal theory that humanity was planted (or somehow developed) a psychological need for war as a means of keeping the population count down. Get too peaceful and we overpopulate and start running out of resources and such.
War happens because of greed. Nothing more, nothing less.
