Do self aware lolcows exist?

I heard to be a lolcow you have to lack self awareness but I feel that's not necessarily true. Surely there's some cows who are self aware but are incapable / unwilling to fix their shitty situation or just outright don't care about their situation while retaining full self awareness

A good percentage of lolcows are either full time or part time grifters who lie and misrepresent themselves intentionally for money. So if by "self aware" you mean "do they understand they're full of shit", then yes a lot of the grifters do know they're full of shit.

More generally, I think its also possible to be very self aware in one aspect or area, and very tunnel-visioned in others. But that usually requires compartmentalization, and lolcows by their very nature are people incapable of compartmentalizing. Lolcows become lolcows because they can't compartmentalize the crazy and keep it private.

To your question, yes self-aware lolcows exist, but its only certain types of lolcows. mainly the grifters who intentionally try to be cows for attention and money.

I think a lot of times the observers are just as messed up in their perception; you could just as easily look at a lot of these cows' lives and realize they're living well, well beyond what they would be at any other time and place. Then a guy like DSP stubs his toe and a whole host of 30 year old detractors living in their mother's house either unemployed or underemployed who've desperately tried to get e-careers off the ground will go "Lol if only he wasn't so un-self-aware" and eventually you have to be willing to ask yourself if maybe you need to examine your own level of self-awareness.

I feel like some of the ones that have been made truly self-aware (i.e. Ali Rapp completely torpedoing her day job at Nintendo with the whole being a hoe and publicly supporting CP) drop off the radar shortly after. Some learn their lesson and get quieter, and then become inactive.

Yes there are some that become self aware but lolcows are form from the initial lack of self awareness and the degeneracy that follows.

But once a person realizes they are a lolcow most times they double down and get worse.
Very rarley will you see someone break that mold that once they see their actions is stupid they try to change it.
