Umm, how is Berserk not an anime?

Or are you saying you read the manga but ignore the multiple anime adaptations?
Pretty much. I watched the movies, but the manga is so much more complete that I don't really think they're a good way to experience the story. I haven't watched the other anime adaptations, so I don't really have any opinion towards them (though I would like to watch the '97 one at some point).

Whatever my opinion towards Berserk is, it's mostly regarding the original manga.

I don’t hate it, but it’s not something I’ve ever really been into. I like a few basic bitch animes (Cowboy Bebop, Wolfs Rain, Trinity Blood etc) but I don’t go out of my way to watch them

anime fans/weebs on the other hand I can’t fucking stand. These autists are one of the big reasons why I never really cared to check out anime.

I like Yuyu Hakusho, dragon ball from episode one up to the end of the Buu saga, captain tsubasa, and lupin the third.

The rest of it is totally unappealing and cheesy.

I think the girls are cute and Japland romance is done quite well. I'd say middle schoolers and autists should be kept away from anime, but we'd lose nearly 95% of the viewer base almost immediately.

I don't hate the genre in itself as I've heard there can be some decent stories told via the medium but the artstyle is fucking nauseating and the community around it has given it such a stigma that if you so much as look at the title of an anime, you will grow a neckbeard and fedora and your virginity will return.

I prefer the ultraviolent anime from the 90's over most of the newer shit. I watch some newer shows if they're recommended to me by someone who's taste I trust. My friend I've known for half my life doesn't watch new anime anymore though so I don't really have anyone else to get recommendations from.

I watched a lot of anime. Classic anime, and eventually half a dozen shows each season as they aired but stopped. Anime is very trope heavy, so things get predictable and boring. I eventually only enjoyed strange, subversive, or parody anime. I have a friend who is a programmer who still binges like each show each season. He says it's not worth it. Everything is all samey.
I never watched much regular tv to start, because its often too slow paced. I prefer reading because you understand reading at your own pace. You can get this kind of burnout with any media and move towards the avant garde.
Sometimes I look at what shows are coming out for a season if anything I enjoyed was getting a sequel and I see how many shows are so obviously a bunch of tropes in a trench coat and remember why I stopped.
I play more video games now since it's more stimulating. Ironically I stopped watching anime when i picked up FE3H, which is essentially a magical academy anime, a genre I really disdain.
