Do you like the idea of people IRL knowing you browse this site?

When asked about it by my mom one time, I just told her it's like Ripley's Believe It or Not, but about Internet crazies (us included, because nobody's perfect). We left it at that.

For casual relationships, I wouldn't care. People wouldn't know what this site even is and would care even less that I browsed it.

People I have a closer relationship with do know, though, just because they also like watching stupid people on the internet as well. I've even gotten a few to browse the website casually because there's plenty of entertaining threads posted here. It doesn't matter what everyone posts about here, because how people act in the communities I join doesn't dictate how I act as an individual.

That's an excellent way to describe this site, because that's basically what it is.
Even though this site is mainly for documenting and discussing internet crazies, and the site has strict rules against trolling, a lot of people would get the impression that this site is some kind of a "cyberbully" hangout, like Encyclopedia Dramatica and 4-chan is often thought to be.
