Do you play with inverted controls? - Do you also like to live dangerously?

I have a better question:
Do you use "C" or "CTRL" to crouch in a video game?
Ctrl-crouch 4 lyfe, yo. If I remember right, that was the default in Half-Life and Counter-Strike and I'm too goddamn old and lazy to mess with a quarter century of muscle memory.

CTRL, because many of the games I play need open keys for other non-crouchy things and C is close and accessible. So CTRL is a close backup for crouching.

As for the main topic, I only play invert on flight sims (but not on 3D shmups like Star Fox and Space Harrier).

I like inverted flight controls on Spyro. I also don't use toggle crouch, as it throws me off, I prefer to have more finite control.

What the actual fuck is wrong with you "people?" Everybody knows that ctrl is the crouch key. It has always been the crouch key. When cavemen were playing Bang Rocks they knew that ctrl was the crouch key. When Michaelsoft wrote the first line of DOS they knew that ctrl is the crouch key. When Miyamoto wrote the first line of code for Donkey Kong, he knew in his heart that ctrl is the fucking crouch key. Do you use the arrow keys if you use c to crouch? Is that your optimal gamer setup? Left hand on the arrow keys and right hand up your ass? Do you use c because your monkey brain can only wrap itself around an Xbox controller and it helps you to think of things in x, y, a, and b? Everybody knows that shift is sprint and ctrl is crouch. C is for writing Cunt, which you are. Even fucking Macbook users know that ctrl is for crouch, and they don't even have a fucking right click.
Get fucking real.

How the fuck do you press ctrl with your pinky finger. My shit isn't dexterous enough for that. I can't tell if my hands are too small or my pinky finger is fucking misshapen or something but it is physically impossible for me to press ctrl with my pinky and still actually press WASD accurately. I have to use my ring finger to hit ctrl for strategems and shit in Helldivers and c is just such a natural button to press for crouching. Shift is perfect for running and other movement-modifying behaviors. Also who the fuck holds to crouch like what press it once and be done with it lmao. If you don't play games like I do you're objectively retarded and probably a furry or a faggot. Or jewish. I hope you get holocausted by super techno-nazis from the year 4,000,000 motherfucker

When Doom came out, Interact was the Space Key, as God intended.

Then Outlaws came along and added controls for the third dimension, gifting us Jump on the E key and Crouch on the C key. which nests comfortably along the WASD setup.

Checkmate, atheists.

Nobody would think to invert left and right either...
You wouldn't think that, but having played a lot of early 3D Sonic games, my brain has adapted to inverted horizontal controls when it comes to third person games, since you can't change the camera controls at all. The way I've taken to seeing it is that I'm pushing in the direction I want the camera to go, rather than which way I want to look.

First person though? Yeah, that makes no sense to me.

The first games I played where up/down mattered was Descent and Terminal Velocity and being flight games inverted was natural, so when I played fps etc... after that, inverted just felt more natural.
It isnt until recently I had to unlearn 30 years of repetitive behaviour because some games I play now dont have the option to invert.

Depends on if the game has some kind of pitch to its aiming like planes operate inverted but aiming, no, that works as your mouse does.

C is way better in the current era when every game has sprint and slide.
Yes. I figure people who don't use inverted controls have some kind of brain damage. Do you also lean your head forward to look up?
Neither, I tilt upward. This guy uses inverted y-axis for his mouse cursor.
