With the election getting closer I've noticed people on the left going total TDS again. While they are always like this, I feel like it's gone up to 11 lately. There are a bunch of articles saying that Trump is basically Hitler. Trump will turn America into a dictatorship. Trump will start WWIII. A Trump win would end democracy. To be fair I have seen this from the right as well on Biden but this is mostly from right-leaning small sites rather than mainstream media. Biden's poll numbers aren't where the left would like them to be. Trump is leading in some swing states that went to Boden in 2020. While poll numbers can be BS it's still scaring the media and Dems. Despite all the gaslighting they are doing by lying that the economy is great, the border is secure, schools aren't teaching CRT and LBGT issues, etc many people aren't buying it. Just like in 2016 a Trump win would be the end of the world. It's the same fearmongering they used in 2016 and 2020. They are trying to do everything they can to put Trump in prison for questing an election (just like Hillary Clinton), Taking documents, (Like Biden), and starting an insurrection that the DC cops helped on. They need to be despite at this point. Come next year if Biden's numbers coniine to fall and Trump rises do you think they would actually assassinate Trump as a last ditch effect to "save democracy"? If they did how would it be done. Killing him by a gun or knife would be too obvious. It would prove the right right and the left would lose the election. Could they do it by car crash or would that lead to theories like it did with Diana? Would they kill him by food poisoning to make it look like an accident? Anyone who questions it would be labeled an conspiracy theorist. Or possibly some other way? Or is all this just nonsense and killing is too far. Even if Trump wins they would eventually accept it while not being happy about it?

Assassinating Donald Trump would be far more disturbing and dreadful than both the assassinations of JFK and Abraham Lincoln combined. Forget even having a civil war; you’re practically alleging acceleration through the form of the destruction of America.

It would also be more cataclysmic than the Roman Empire falling down. No one would know what to do, even in our current dogmatic technocracy.

why not? We're way past the point where anything thinks that voting is superior to political violence.

In any case it won't go how they think it will. It has been remarked before but for all the TDS trump is ultimately a pressure valve and a gatekeeper for a LOT of anti-leftoid sentiment. Assassinating him won't make all the issues and feelings that brought him about go away, they'll just come back in a more.... efficient... manner.

Lol, there is no way anybody is assassinating anyone, Trump, Biden or anyone else. Anyone making threats is just a crazy on twitter.
 
The liberal establishment are such fucking pansies. They would never assassinate Trump, they don't have the guts to do so. They're fine with causing death as long as its on foreign soil and/or due death to logistical means, but actually hiring an assassin, bringing an assassin into the room with Trump, or somehow getting Biden to order his execution. They would never do that because they're too afraid of what would happen to them.

The liberal establishment will screech and scream about Trump being a genocidal demon, levy all of these charges against him but will stop at actually vanquishing him.

Just think, after Jan 6, they had the perfect chance to do so, all Biden had to do was pardon the rioters, and then order Trump to be executed as a show of dominance. It would have humiliated their opposition but they simply chose not to.

They used to do a lot more wet works, but it's pretty risky this day and age with CCTV and instant news in everyone's pocket. If they make a slip, they won't be able to control the narrative because they will be out-meme'd by the internet.

Plus I'm not going to say everybody likes Trump. But of all the famous people out there, he is probably the least-disliked. Not saying much, but still saying something. To martyr him would be a bad idea.

And he's nearing 80 years old. Statistically, most men have died of cancer by now. They can simply wait out Trump.

I would unironically blame any assassinations over the next decade on Ukraine as retribution for the United States leading Ukraine down the garden path and then stabbing them in the back.

How do you damage America the most? Kill Trump and start combat in the streets. You don't even have to hate Trump for this outcome to be desired, you just have to want to cause strife in America to produce social and political change. Donald Trump is probably the most valuable target in decades and there are dozens of potential (conflicting) excuses to justify that comment.

He's never winning another election so he just provides them fodder to hide all their dirty laundry.

Have you seen the videos they're making about Trump stumbling over his words to take heat off of Biden's geriatric ass?

I think the media has ramped it up to eleventy in order to prime potential assassins, bombarding true believers in their target audience with incessant messaging telling them Literally Hitler! WW3! Our precious democracy! Something must be done! For some of the more mentally unstable among them, a select batshit crazy few, the temptation to act might prove irresistible.

Remember James Hodgkinson, the deranged Illinois man who shot Congressman Steve Scalise on the DC baseball field several years ago? There's evidence Hodgkinson was primed precisely so. Hodgkinson was heavily involved in Democratic Party politics at the local and state levels (although this was downplayed in media reports), and even knew Senator Dick Durbin personally. I think Hodgkinson was a test case, proof the programming works.

So yeah, no doubt: Trump's in danger. I predict several attempts on his life between now and election day. One of those pathetic, demented bastards might get through. As a prudent counter-measure, Trump would probably be better served if he hired a private security detail. He shouldn't trust the Secret Service. Nobody should.

I really doubt it will actually happen, or if it does, it won't be Trump's enemies. When you assassinate someone, you turn them into a martyr, if not a legend, and their movement into a crusade. John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Abraham Lincoln were deeply flawed men who had multiple affairs, bizarre perversions, were owned by various interests, or had private beliefs that were unpalatable to all but the most radical person (a couple of those things apply to two or all three). These facts can't be mentioned about them because in the eyes of the public they are all near deities and if they had an associated movement or doctrine, it is the religion of the country . Assassinating Trump would guarantee a place on Mount Rushmore eventually and MAGA/America First being the national religion for a century or two.

I don't think they would. They can just jail him in any cangaroo court and mail in Biden term 2.0
