Documentaries - Red pilling but not necessarily right wing

And Titicut Follies is pretty much soul-destroying.

You can say "Well, the treatment of mentally ill people has changed." But 1967 wasn't that long ago and I doubt it's changed all that much.
Titicut Folies should be necessary viewing in every high school around the world. It is a depiction of how far down, and how quickly, man can plunge. To realize how not long ago, this was happening in the most prosperous nation in the world... and to realize it is most definitely still occurring on a global level. Probably at a level beyond that of which our domesticated minds can fathom.

It shows how quickly man can sink into an animal like state, not just the patients, but the doctors as well.
I like Adam Curtis's documentaries.

Wow this guy is sharp, and I enjoy his story telling. Political views really don't matter to me, nor should they to any who aspires to delve into a topic with an open mind. If the content itself is sound, then it shall speak for itself.

Sadly a lot of docs these days try to politicize everything, trying to make connections to current events through past events. Sometimes you just gotta tell the story and allow the viewer to do this themselves. You aren't going to change anyone's mind by trying. Real, emphatic change comes from within, and thus these films are far more effective when the viewer may draw their own conclusions.
