Does anybody else imagine certain years at a certain time of day and weather?

It's this weird thing that I do where I relate certain years with times of day and weather. For example, I equate the year 2005 with being in the afternoon with the sun shining down. On the flipside, I equate 1998 and 1999 with a cloudy night.

There's a pattern that it follows. Following 1999's night, I imagine 2000 to be early dawn and misty. Then comes '01 and it's morning and sunny, then there's a few clouds here and there for '02, '03, and '04, and the becomes sunny again for '05. 2018 and '19 feels like night. 2020 feels like early morning with scattered thunderstorms. This year so far feels like the clouds are starting to dissipate and the morning sun is shining through.

There's no metaphor here as the day and night comparisons have no bearing on whether or not that year is shit or not. What it does do is whenever I read about someone doing something in X year or I see that something came out in X year, I have the mental image of that something taking place under my corresponding day and weather conditions, unless specified or it having a specific tone to it.

I know that it's some form of synesthesia, but I also figure that it might be because of having more of or more vivid memories of a certain year in those conditions. Almost all the memories that I have of 2005 is being outside in the afternoon being a kid, while last year the defining characteristic that sticks out the most is watching videos from China about their virus outbreak and it flooding like crazy.

So am I alone, or is there someone else that is as autistic about calender years as I am? Discuss.
