Yeah, maybe, I mean you might have a point here. It's just so difficult for me to see that as some kind of immoral act, because it's just so fucking hilarious that I can't imagine anyone taking it as a serious threat. But I guess it was meant as a serious threat and that is your point.

If intent is what matters, consider that each time Chris curses and voodoos someone, he intends to ruin their lives. Each time he calls Michael a child molester, he intends to ruin his image and damage his business.

This is true, and it's a very good counterpoint for a lot of the stuff I have said. I don't believe he actually wanted someone to really kill IRL Mimm's girlfriend though. But yeah, I can concede the other points. Maybe he is a dick.

Chris is pure id. He exists in the moment and only knows or cares about his own base desires because he's experienced practically no emotional or mental development. This is really the key to understanding his behavior. At that moment, he really did want someone to kill Mimm's girlfriend. If you're going to defend Chris's character and personality, whatever little he has, that would be a better place to start than simply trying to excuse or discard every single horrible thing he's said or done. He's just a big, dumb child.

There are different types of poking fun at someone, for different reasons. I think that deliberately setting out to make someone cry is sadistic. It's definitely a sign of a fucked up person.

I suppose it doesn't necessarily make her incapable of ever finding love and happiness, but I don't see how someone that cold could ever love or be loved.

I concede that people do change in four years though.

It's easy to make an assumption about someone when the one thing you know about them is something really horrible and fucked up that they have done. Do you have any stories about her doing something nice to balance it out? If she's as decent a sort as you say she is, then you should have something. Charity work? Caring for an elderly relative?

I can't say I like Chris, but I definitely don't hate him. He's amusing and interesting in a twisted, unintentional sort of way. But he's not likable.

He's unlikable because he's hateful and egotistical. Chris believes everything and everyone exists to serve him. If the world doesn't meet his impossible demands (a frequent occurrence), then we're all just playing America's Favorite Game, Kick the Autistic. Not to mention he feels he can do no wrong ever (SheCameforCWC). It's also noteworthy that everything has to be all about him, even when he's giving gifts.

Then there's the hate. Although Chris is incapable of hurting anybody physically (unless he's behind the wheel of a car with Barb screaming in his ear), he certainly wishes he did, and believes he does on some sort of level (the Lego "voodoo", the comics in which he tortures and kills everyone who has "wronged" him, the curse-ye-ha-me-ha). Chris wished Mimms' girlfriend dead because he perceives him to be the source of all trolling, not realizing that the picture had nothing to do with the trolling as well as forgetting that Mimms was kind to Chris for years (despite witnessing Chris' poor sportsmanship and outburts week after week).

I'm not trying to A-log: we make a point not to A-log here. Nobody wishes that Chris would die in a fire and go to hell. Most, if not all of us, however, wish that Chris would better himself and not be so bitter and hateful all the time. Which, unfortunately, won't happen. We do tend to get angry over his continued use of the handicap parking spots, however.

I wasn't looking for any proof, and I certainly wouldn't ignore if if you provided me it. I wasn't really expecting you to tell me any stories. If she genuinely is a nice, kind person (and you're not just saying that because she's your buddy and you like her) then I'll take your word for it.

I think you might be right. Most people seem to have assumed that I'll be banned, which is a real shame. I guess this is one of those forums where a contentious topic is regarded as trolling. It sucks because I am a huge fan of the CWCki and I would have probably posted here a lot (about less contentious shit). Ah well. My best friend (who's autistic like me) told me she likes Chris and I was "woah, met plenty of people who disapprove of how Chris is treated or feel sorry for him but never anyone who likes him. I guess there's a second time for everything. As I said I'm autistic and I feel like Chris is a jerk and that if he wasn't autistic he'd still be a jerk (maybe one who embarrasses himself publicly less) As someone who cares about autistic rights and representation I feel it's dehumanising to say that autistic people can't run the full range of the jerk-wad to super cool person spectrum.

That said I feel like many of his trolls and critics DO make him often the lesser of two "evils" in his ever ongoing saga and often I will side with him. To just dismiss that position with "hi Anna"/"ass-patter" memes to me seems to be shutting down objective discussion in the name of tribalism.

I dunno, one thing Chris and his critics seems to have in common is the irrational belief that their the good guys in this story. Hence the for me pretty arbitrary pseudo-moralising you get on here sometimes or the weird belief that trolling is to "help" Chris. I feel like Chris is over-indulged and needs outside direction but it's hard for me to have much sympathy with the view that berating an autistic person for not having a job are the actions of anyone with the slightest clue or interest in how to help someone like Chris...much "white knighting" is as dickish as the more overtly cruel trolling.

Basically the only likeable character in the CWC saga is Megan depressingly.

You know, i don't really think this is a troll thread. I just think it's so much reflexive, defensive sperging. Which happens. The premise of the OP is actually interesting, and could have resulted in a pretty meaningful discussion (and still could, if people would stop taking shit so personally, or defending every little point they make like the fate of the cosmos depends on it.)

Chris is a dick. There's no arguing that point. As has been pointed out, his motives are almost entirely selfish in nature. He does not put anyone before himself. Ever. In the rare instances where he has done something nice for someone else, there have been motives or expectations attached to it like crazy. He does not respect boundaries on any level, be it "Don't come in this store any more." or "Please stop touching me." people who don't respect boundaries mainly do so because they genuinely do not see other people as equals, and can not empathize with those people whatsoever. That is Chris's main issue as i see it; he has zero empathy for anyone. Not Megan, Mike Snyder, the victims of the world trade center collapse, Mimm's girlfriend, or any of the people who are just doing their jobs to enforce rules, laws or policies that he has broken... nobody.

Chalk that up to autism if you like, but whatever the reason, It's hard to genuinely like someone like that, regardless of how much they might unintentionally make you laugh, or how otherwise harmless they are.
