Does anyone know great alternatives for ChatGPT that aren't mainstream?

I'm looking for those "unknown", "underground" but extremely useful AI tools or assistants that aren't supposed to be found by normies. I'm kinda tired of how politically correct and limited HuggingFace and GPT are.

Any AI which isn't dommed by big tech companies like Google or Microsoft is a big win for me.

GPT-3 or GPT-4 isn't pozzed, its the model that is pozzed. Making good models takes a lot of time and hardware so it tends to trend corporate, Until someone devices a manner of collectivization for GPU like they have for Bitcoin mining where you rent your GPU out for small payments the really good models will tend to be bland and safe because nobody will be able to front the few hundred thousand dollars worth of GPU and weeks of rendering to make the model.

NovelAI is the most mainstream alternative service, their models are smaller but more optimized and unfiltered. You can do a lot if you know what you are doing and they have their own web UI and anime image gen. You pay a monthly sub.

OpenRouter is an API service that hosts a number of AI models including unfiltered custom models and heavily filtered Claude and GPT4. Most people start with the filtered heavy models to get the prose right for the unfiltered models to follow later. You pay by the token.

Although SD, chatgpt and Illama2 are censored. They are the best out there. If you want to uncensor them, you will either need to find a LORA that generates what you want or make the LORA yourself.

Something to keep in mind is that making a LORA yourself requires sample data, so if you are planning on making something that generates a facsimile of something illegal. You probably need that illegal material to train it on. I wouldn't recommend that, but you are an anime avatar and we both know what you want to do.

OP looks like a fed, but OpenChat (link to huggingface) could be the "not mainstream" model that you can self host provided you have a high end GPU with enough memory.
