English just uses foreign words until someone puts them in a dictionary and declares they are English words. The word for sexual love is eros. But I think we see that as bound up with lust (or cupidity, classics joke there), whereas love connotes something more like "selflessly desiring what is good for another."

I'm likely retarded and don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, but isn't incest a statutory thing like having sex with someone underage, where consent is irrelevant and it's considered rape regardless?
 
He knew it was wrong at the very least, seeing as how it was revealed through a leak and not Chris just casually mentioning it on his socials. Chris isn't so far gone that he doesn't understand the difference between right and wrong; he probably just found some way to justify it in his head, internally denying the gravity of what he did.

I think whether or not incest is inherently rape depends on the state (though it so often is rape a distinction is kind of unnecessary at that point.) Even if Barb wasn't Chris's mother, it would be rape by virtue of the fact that she was mentally incapable of consenting before or during the encounter. It looks like he's going to be charged with rape either way.

Edit: he also apparently roofied her with Ambien, so there's that.
