I realize Chris doesn't change much, and his brand loyalty and vidya prefences are all but written in stone, but I've wondered if Chris might have weakened his stance on the 360 since his glory days. Jackie did get him to admit that a lot of his opinions were based on ignorance (surprise, surprise). And he hated the Playstation too, until he got one.

Just wondering if yesterday's XBO announcement meant anything to him at all.

it's weird, you'd expect him to blow up over obvious things like this (or even cleveland show getting cancelled) but sometimes he's relatively quiet about them. other things like MLP (like minor shit like the twilighlicious video) he immediately becomes lord spergington.
he probably even refuses to read any news about it bad or not because it's not his play station.

IMHO yesterday's presentation was kind of a fucking shit, although of course Chris lacks any sort of critical sense (or common sense to begin with), so who knows...but being the stubborn bastard he is, my guess is that he still hates the Xbox like if it killed Bob or something.

If the PS4 lets you keep your old PSN account and digital downloads then I don't think he'll bother with the XB1 unless it came out way earlier than the PS4 and had a bunch of cartoony/colorful launch titles for kinect. If the XB1 has an optional "bare bones" pack that was cheap enough to be within his budget while he waited for the PS4 then I could see him caving in.

If he got an XB1 I would seriously attempt to get in an online game with him and totally be nice.

Chris's console war attitude has always been kind of... cartoony. I think that kicking store stands is as worse as it can get, most of the time he's just finding new creative CWCisms to hate Xbox and love PS. The point is, besides of the store behaviour, he never really does anything bad. Most of the time, he's just another 10-year-old who thinks PS3 is the shit.

Like most things in life, Chris never had any nuanced opinions about anything. Right now, he'll probably hate the XB1 to pieces because it's a Hexbox. Unless PS4 is priced to hell and back and XB1 is cheaper and he switches camps - then he has always been at war with Eurasia has always thought Xbox wasn't that bad.

Pretty sure the 360 was significantly cheaper than the PS3, but that still didn't stop him from raging about the Hexbox while spending his entire tugboat on one console and maybe a game to go with it.

From what I remember, he kicked it several times while going, "Hexbox! Hexbox! Hexbox!" I don't think he kicked a demo over onto the floor or anything but it was forceful enough that if an employee saw it he would be banned.

That won't be for several years minimum. It was announced recently that Sonic is a Nintendo exclusive, at least for the time being.

If he did switch over to Xbox though, he'll probably conveniently forget every bad thing he ever said about it. Incidentally, he likely only softened his stance for Jackie. Potential china beats almost everything.
