Does dressing modestly have value outside religion and in the current world?

Solution
For women: there's a biological advantage to modesty/prudence/chastity because there's a biological advantage in being exclusive/selective with whom you mate, because mating is a ten month commitment. Hypersexuality is a valid strategy for males because males can spread their genes to as many females as are available, but a female can only accept genes from one male every ten months at best, so it's in the female's interest to exclude all but the highest quality genes -- or the mate with the highest social status. In either case the function of prudence/chastity is to produce the highest quality offspring, and dressing modestly is a social cue/heuristic to signify that you're acting in accordance with that natural biological order. dressing immodestly used to mean crop tops or mini shorts n shit which is ok as long as you arent fat and the setting is casual. nowadays its normal to borderline flash your tits at people and treat them to the sight of your 50% body fat ass & leg rolls wherever you go. so what would even qualify as immodest? nudity?
dressing yourself in something has the potential to look better than your naked body unless you have the fashion sense of a nigger

Me, I care and you, you care and we assign value to things. Now assign me my value of modesty.
Why do you care? I only do because of religion, the Atheistic worldview attributes no moral value to anything beyond arbitrary subjective whims. So in that case do as your whims currently direct you.

The closest you can get to a non-religious amoral value in society is practicality. Is there a practical reason to dress modestly? Yes, you reduce crime and protect yourself by not tempting rapists. That's about it.

Atheism isn't the same thing as nihilism. Morals come from a higher power, values come from individuals and society. Someone can have a strong set of values without a religious obligation to be moral. I value kindness so I treat people kindly. There are reasons to value something beyond practicality too. Art holds no practical purpose yet I value art highly.

More broadly, it signifies that you probably act in accordance with a larger canon of similar, emergent, traditional values that put long-term social good over short-term personal pleasure. Unless you don't, in which case you should dress how you want to, to better signify to potential mates what your values are so we can pick somebody better.

For men: because peacocking is gay.
