Does it bother you that every single creature alive right now will be dead one day?

I'm gonna be real in one of these threads for once. The only thing that bothers me when I think about it is how most dogs, reptiles, amphibians, cats, and birds will die sooner than I will. I have a very special place in my heart for pets, and the fact that they have such short lives in comparison to humans just breaks my heart. Also, when I think of my father's own mortality, it bothers me that some day he won't be there.

No, in fact quite the opposite. Every time I remember that a person I've seen or interacted with is alive and doing things right now it always wigs me out.

Think of any random person you've seen in movies, or heard in music, and every person you pass on the street or walk by in a store, right this very second every one of them is out there somewhere going about their business exactly like you are. Hell, even just here on KF knowing every one of the cows and users are a living person somewhere doing whatever they're doing a full 24 hours a day every day is weird.

Everything being dead seems way easier to wrap one's head around TBH.

What worries me more is just how quickly we can die.

I’ve seen too many videos online of people being just fine one minute, having a good time or whatever, and than one bad decision, or one slip, or some minuscule thing leads them to a sudden immediate death.

Having to watch someone I love die like that, or visa versa is also something that worries me.

Actual death itself? Not so much, I believe there is some kind of afterlife, some don’t and that’s fine, all of us will eventually find out who’s right.

Yes. Endlessly. It’s kind of a problem of mine.

Because if there is an afterlife, we’ll run out of stimulation. We’ll watch entropy win. Witness and surpass the meaninglessness of eternity.
