Does it matter if we use private on certain things?

I understand spoiling NSFW and using that to avoid bloating threads but I noticed certain things such as residential information and some images are under this pink locked bar (which requires an account to view) for a while but didn't bother asking about it until now.

Is this related to search engine stuff or is it just out of certain courtesy?

It's mainly used for posts that have sensitive or high-traffic yielding context/content. When the Motherfucking Saga/Bella Janke info came out, the private function was added (if I'm remembering it right). It comes to good use when it comes to protecting posts with sensitive info/possible misinformation.

I think we had it before that. I think it was so people wouldn't use this site for OnlyFans leaks. OF content has to be private.
