I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with her.

She doesn't like other cats.
I don't know how to describe it, but she has autism face. But for cats.
She's obsessed with my husband.
She doesn't like? Doesn't know how? We can't pick her up. She spazzes out.
She doesn't meow. And when she does, she has Autism voice.

Maybe. The only way to discern with 100% accuracy whether or not your cat has autism is to place down an iPad with a Minecraft Let's Play or Mr. Beast video in front of her. If she sits down and watches until the end of the video, ad breaks and all, she's autistic and you should give her a forum account.

Autism is typically when you can't recognise a room because someone moved a couch or whatever.

It's kinda normal for animals of most kinds.

Most cats don't like being picked up.

Your cat is fine, stop worrying and it'll warm to you if you treat it well and it grows older. If you want to pet it then try squatting and extending your arm so it knows you can't reach any further and you're not a threat.

My cat has autism. He doesn't pick up on social cues from other cats. When i take him on walks and we see another cat he tries to play with it and be it's friend. If the other cat poofs up and hisses he still advances to befriend it. He hasn't had his ass kicked yet because the other cat sees he has a body guard and retreats instead of fighting. He just doesn't pick up on body language and proceeds without a care. One time a cat came up to me meowing for attention. My cat interpreted it as "oh that's how cats make friends" so now he just autisticly walks up to other cats while meowing

I've had her for...3-4 years? She knows I'm not a threat, but she's obsessed with my husband like an autistic boy with trains.

And I can pick up my other cats. Just scoop them up, and lug them around, but she like...starts trying to correct herself, as if she was falling.
If it's an orange cat, then yes all of those have 100% autism.

If it's fur is of another collor then no.
She's black and white :(

>does my cat have autism?
>She's obsessed with my husband.

What did they mean by this?
When we go to bed at night, she jumps on his chest and licks his face. And I mean, full-force jumps on him, and she's chubby (because she's autistic), so it hurts him.

She sleeps against his face and neck, and blocks his nose at night. He will wake up, shoo her away, and 10 seconds later she'll either wake him up by jumping with all of her weight on him, or by blocking his nose again.

If another cat has snuggled up with him to sleep, she will bully them away, or copy how they slept with him. Like, one cat likes to crawl into his arms and be held like a teddy bear. She's started copying that.

Man that sounds crazy, you should post a picture of the kitty cat so we can make sure it in fact has autism.

@anliteralidiot She does in fact have a bit of the 'tism face, but on the plus side she is very cute, so I wouldn't necessarily throw her in a dumpster just yet. Have you thought about making your husband wear a very strong smelling soap to overwhelm her senses so she won't sleep on him all the time?

I've heard it said before that cats are autistic by nature. But I don't think there's been any extensive studies about it. Cats are cats. They're naturally weird to us.

Have you had your cat since she was a kitten? Do you know about her history? That might be a factor regarding her behavior.

Last summer someone gave me a found kitten. She was probably 5-6 weeks and had an infection. She used to be very social. But a relative was mean to her when she was little and now she's a bit skittish. He yelled at her a lot because she stole food. Maybe don't leave your food out and then fall asleep? She really only likes me. She simply tolerates others. She gets upset when I leave the house.

I found a four week old kitten in June. I thought it was a cat bird and almost ignored the mews until this little grey thing came running towards me. He clung to me as soon as I picked him up. He's still super clingy. He's also runty and smaller than he should be at 5 months. He's only begun to meow. And he still prefers this "Ahh!" sound that reminds me of a catbird. He also steals food and screams like a bird when he sees food. He likes to also announce himself by running into a room screaming. He sounds more like a bird than a cat.

If your cat had a bad kittenhood or was separated from mom too early it might explain some of her weird behavior.
