I think he has an inkling. That is why he protects the layer of fantasy he has wrapped his life around and perpetuates his inner childhood. I suspect he will continue to paddle that denial boat as long as he can until the river runs dry.

It's possible, however given the fact that the health department of Greene County hasn't condemned their house yet (despite the calls from fellow CWCkians to the health department) I wonder if it's likely that their mental health unit will be any different. I work with the homeless here in Boulder and some of them seem like they would be more appropriately served with the padded cell treatment, IMHO.

Point being, if mental health services in liberal Boulder are failing to serve the community, why should I believe that mental health services in (likely) conservative Ruckersville would fare any better?

Send that crazy fuck up here to Canada, they won't let him just wander the streets. Well, they will, but they'll pick him up all the time and hold him for a few days for observation and get him on some medicine, and send nurses to his house to pester him about taking his medicine. Granted he'll just tell the nurses what they want to hear then ignore them as soon as they leave... and they can't force him to accept treatment if he doesn't want it and committed no crime... and they're only allowed to pick him up for acting completely insane in public every now and then as long as he can prove that he's capable of cleaning up given the right environment they can't hold him for long...

Okay never mind, I take it back, Canada would be as helpless as anyone else.
