if the .com domain name you want is taken, what's a good alternative, .net, .info, .online?
apparently search engines prefer .com

Back in the old timey days the order was always said to be .com, .org and .net. One thing I've always liked about .org is people seem to assume it's some kind of legitimate organization, like the second tier of .gov or something.
