The best diet pill she can take is Metformin. Not only will it help with her glucose levels, it will give her diarrhea and gas so bad, she won't be able to leave the house for more than 10 minutes at a time. No more trips to the Chinese Buff-ett, or Walmart. She will have to be near a toilet anytime she puts an ounce of food in her mouth. Food goes right through your colon and out your ass, often times in the same condition as how you ate it. It works to bypass the liver (giving it less stress, and out the poop shoot).

Metformin not only lowers blood glucose levels, which in the long term reduces the risk of diabetic complications, but it also lowers blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels and does not cause weight gain the way insulin and some other oral blood-glucose-lowering drugs do. Overweight, high cholesterol, and high triglyceride levels all increase the risk of developing heart disease, the leading cause of death in people with Type 2 diabetes.

Yah, don't ask me how I know this ;) But our goirl should be taking this for her beetus (which I can say with certainty she has). No one hitting close to 600 pounds shows normal insulin levels. Her liver has to be fucked! I bet it's triple in size trying to process all the crap she eats.

But guize - my blood work came back normal. I really wonder what her A1C levels are at. 50? The normal is around 6.

there's a newer fat blocker (haha) that is supposed to not have the bad side effects. I don't think it would help AL that much though. I wonder how those non-surgical weight loss surgery balloons would work on AL. AL would have to swallow 3 balloons and the doctors fill them up and they stay in the stomach for 6 months. They are supposed to full the stomach up but would AL be able to out eat them and still stuff herself as much as she does?
Also can confirm this, though I forget the name of the medication. She could probably find a doctor to give it to her, though I imagine she would be a horrible candidate. We joke that she never feels hungry, but I’m certain she feels hungry all of the time (her stomach must be enormous, and needs a lot of food to feel full). So the pills would help with that, but she still has a compulsive need to eat, and would need therapy to sort through why this is and what she can do to combat it.

The pills are more for dieters, not good addicts... maybe the balloon would help, though she would have to drive out to find someone to do it. Dr. Now is very correct in that most doctors don’t have the resources or experience to take care of someone over 600 pounds, so when patients get to this point they have an incredibly hard time fixing themselves. If Amber is also a diabetic or pre diabetic, she would also have this working against her. Primary care providers, physicians or nurses, also really don’t like dealing with diabetics because it complicates everything.

I suspect this is why the doctor she went to didn’t do a lot of testing into whether or not she had diabetes. There may not be an endrocrinologist within large radius and he didn’t have the resources to help himself.

Only thing she reallt has working for her is that she’s young. I suspect she will still be up and about for a while and then crash in ten years. The human body can put up with a surprising amount of abuse.

552lb but she will admit to a very dainty 513.

Also, God damn Necky looking juicier every day. Do they make tandem mobility scooters?
Maybe but AL and Becky could always take this idea from an intrepid couple of fatties:

For you farmers in the know, what's going to happen if she's pre-diabetic or does already have full-blown diabetes?

We know she's balls-deep in denial and is very obviously ignoring a glaring sign in her worsening AN. I know what the end results of unmanaged diabetes can be, but what happens in the interim? Is she going to get sick or collapse or is it straight to leg falls off, do not pass Go, do not collect £200 and kindly pick up your toes on your way out? She's also not having regular tests, so what is the prognosis?

Scuse if dumb q, but yer basic diabetes search tends to assume a) regular doc visits where it's picked up and b) the patient doesn't just pretend its not happening and carry on regardless. Our Lady of the Lard is contributing to knowledge, despite not having any. About anything.

Non compliant diabetics lose toes and feet because they heal poorly and have damaged nerves in their extremities, making it hard to notice an injury. The progression of nerve damage is slow and so is the deterioration of the injured area, the injury itself happens at random. (edit: if they had feeling in the foot it would hurt a lot, they would get antibiotics in time to avoid amputation, didn't know if that was clear)

Kidney damage is more common than losing an extremity, from what I know. It can eventually lead to needing dialysis. Blindness creeps up the same way, there is not much chance to do anything about it once it's happened, careful diabetes management has to happen to prevent these problems whenever possible.

There is a chance of passing out or feeling very unwell from blood sugar fluctuation, it would depend on how she eats. Mostly though, it's a long awful decline, it's easy to ignore signs until it's too late.

@sperginity Thanks for this. That makes sense of what I've read, which was all these things over time. I couldn't work out how anyone got there, hence wondering if there was some big precipitating factor that would force her into realisation whether she likes it or not. Knowing how she is, it's actually terrifying that there isn't.

This is where Amber's absolutist view of haaayduuurz is so screwed. In her view, anyone not kissing her elephantine arse is automatically a haydur therefore can be ignored, but that is so unbelievably childish. I don't like her at all, from surface things like her shrieky, OTT mien to deeper issues like how she treats other humans and animals, but I don't want her to come to harm. I thunk part of the reason we get so fzzzzt about her is that she causes that same cognitive dissonance in many of us and CDs by nature are uncomfortable.

But if she can rationalise something as in-yer-face as her horrendous like/dislike ratio as "they don't really dislike me" and assuming the other 40k viewers are supporters, when its likely the other way round and the majority who don't leave ratings dislike her or have other reasons (I never leave a dislike cos YT doesn't differentiate between positive or negative engagement, so either is advantageous to her) then she can certainly ignore slowly creeping signs. I'm not sure anything could wake her up at this point - she simply can't prioritise long-term loss over short-term gain. God help her therapist if she ever does get one.

Mukbang youtuber Jasper Daze died of untreated diabetes a few years ago and he was not even close to Amber's weight. From the below link:

Please keep our family in prayer.
On Monday, December 12, 2016, my grandson, Jasper Hicks, died unexpectedly. Jasper was in his fifth year at Penn State, expected to graduate in May with a degree in communications. At 23, he died from complications of Diabetes. He was not even aware that he had Diabetes.
My grandson, Jasper, was a remarkable young man. He was attending Penn State on a Bill and Melinda Gates scholarship. To meet him was to love him.

The fact is, AL has no idea how lucky she is that she's gotten to the point she has and has not yet had any serious complications. This kid was 23 and died super suddenly from diabetes he didn't even know he had. She is heading down that same road, but the signs are all there. Amber YOU HAVE DIABETES. Go to a real doctor! You aren't getting anything over on the haydurs by ignoring it, and we won't be the one losing limbs.

He's also forgetting that Amber pays 66% of the rent and utilities vs the boys' 33% share.

They don't want her gone she's literally a cash cow

WHAT???!!! Tell me how you know this!!!

********************************************************************************************

She will have all the complications...heart disease, kidney problems, pancreas can crap out, arthritis in knees/hips/back, blindness, loss of feeling in toes and eventual loss of toes etc.. She is a wreck. She is one fall away from being bed bound or a case of pneumonia away from death. It is really sad.

I think she said it. But...

Originally, the lads and Becks were living as two shared units, with one bedroom for the couple and one for Becks, everything else shared. And all went out to work.

Amber makes like it's some big deal it's split into thirds but within context it's only right she pay more. She has the porch to herself and all her shit, plus shares the boys living areas (we constantly see her beached on their couch.) And when they made the agreement she'd be the only one home all day, using far more electricity and maybe wifi, depending what plan they're on. She wants to appear magnanimous but it's the norm for someone joining that kind of share to pay at least a third, as opposed to just sharing Becky's half, even if they don't get their own storage porch. It's different if they'd both started out as couples, but I doubt the boys would have let her move in if there was no reduction in their bills. There has to be some benefit to them.

Tl;dr. She said it. But she at best misrepresents it, if it's even true.

Amber favors sugars, though. All she eats is heavy on carbohydrates, which converts to sugar once digested - rice, chips, bread etc. A medication that blocks fat absorption might help, but not a lot.

The balloons might actually work for her because her goal is to feel full. If someone reigned into her compulsion of shoving food in her mouth.
She would need to be closely supervised by a team of professionals, and frankly, I don't see that happening.
Everything that comes out of her mouth screams "I am a victim". People don't like people like that.
Funny thing about that. The marks actually like those people. Until they realize they've been used, but that only happens after they give up on trying to help and walk away. And as you can see from some of the comments, some people don't deal well with the knowledge that the person was using them and become vindictive.

Amber said it on her Ask.fm. At that point I got the impression she was sleeping in the den whenever she was at the house (she spent most of the time with Rafe and Hanna*, though).

The house is listed everywhere I looked as having 3 bedrooms. I assume the "third bedroom" is actually the den, and that the original arrangement was: 1st bedroom for the boys, 2nd bedroom for Becky and 3rd for Amber. The rent was divided by 3 because that is the number of bedrooms in the house. The rest of the house is communal, although Amber made the point to brag about not sitting on their sofa a while back.

I think Eric was already a stay at home husband by the time Amber moved it.

*I used to think that Becky dropped Amber at the babysitters (R&H) because none of them trusted Amber to be left alone in the house.
Looking back, it's possible Amber was complaining (with reason) that the den gave her no privacy (in the first videos Amber made in the house she was very uncomfortable, jumpy and seemed almost scared).

Didn't someone on MSHPL have one of those balloons or am I making it up?

Granted I might've been sniffing the cat box again, but I'm sure I remember one of the recent series had someone who'd already had one and still managed to eat their way round it. And I think Doc Now actually placed one as a temporary measure this series, tho I can't remember if it was a different patient. But either way, I can't see our gooorl being slowed down at all by a but of rubber - she'd probably see it as a challenge!

Her limbs would be the last to fall off/amputation. She'd start off with high/low symptoms of insulin, such as Ketoacidosis Symptoms include thirst, frequent urination, nausea, abdominal pain, weakness, fruity-scented breath, and confusion.). We've already witnessed this before.

Then there's the threat of a diabetic coma. Again, dangerously high or low insulin levels cause this. Also blindness can occur, kidney failure, pancreatic problem, heart trouble -- the list is long and ugly. A stroke or a fall would probably put her down for the count.

In Amber's world, taking a finger test, will tell her is she's diabetic. This is SO far from the truth. She needs to see an Endo, or even a GP and get an A1C test (that measures your glucose over the last 90 days). The finger test is used at home to determine if you need your insulin asap, or what other meds the doctor has given you. It could also be as simple as needing to drink a glass of orange juice. But, nah, Amber knows it all.

Untreated, she's fucked. Because it won't be the fat that kills her.

WHAT??‽!! Tell me how you know this!!!

It's in this very thread, albeit way back. If you do a thread search for "66%" or "66 percent" you'll probably find it. Screenshots, etc. She's talked about it on her ask.fm which has been deleted a few times (not sure of current status) but the screens/archives probably still exist here.

edit: correction: I forgot where I was for a second. I am of course referring to the General discussion ALR thread that's pushing 900 pgs or should I say pee jees
