Richard Lewis' crowning achievement was getting into a slapfight with Loda. It's been all downhill from there. Last I heard from him, he turned into an actual faggot.

"ESport Journalist" Richard Lewis, named the DOTA 2 Community as the most irritating fanboys of 2023. How much of it is the community to blame, instead of Valve insisting on doing the bare minimum?
Dota 2 community is 100% at fault. The fact that they get so infuriated over everything Valve gives them, meanwhile Valve doesn't care about CS, they forgot about TF2, and they certainly forgot about L4D2. Dota gets tons of season events, game mods, tons of promoted analytics and in depth competitive systems, etc. CS can't get anything close to that level of attention. Think about all of the effort they go into for the International, meanwhile nothing like that for CS. They even stole the last theme for The International (Cathedral motifs) from the big Cologne CS event (the Cathedral of Counterstrike).

Any of you coach?
I'd be down, if you are still interested.

I'm still waiting for the new hero. I expected him for end of January but nothing new so far.

Sadly the last two seasonal events (TI and the winter one) were quite disappointing. Although Valve reasoned they wanted to invest more time into working on the game itself than just putting time into cosmetics (I.e. compendiums) but is that really a good argument? They definitely changed the map and added new objectives in a major way but what now? I don't believe they will bring those changes every year now, so where is the time going?
I bought into the last Compendium, out of habit, and was severely disappointed in it. The winter event was just another chest gamble sale, nothing more.

Remove neutral items?

Please God!

Remove neutral items?
Neutrals will stay and I don't mind them.
As long as they don't break the game, like the Fae Grenade fiasco (t2 neutral that could be used to pop Linkens or abused by Earthshaker who could throw the Item and use his W increased dmg as a range attack).

Valve will keep creating new ones and cycle existing ones in and out of the pool

Oh fuck. Last balance patch didn't even change anything. The meta stayed the same, sigh.

Most relevant things, imo, from this balance patch:

The Kobold buff seems good, might help safe lanes a little bit since the kobolds were shit. By far the weakest spawn, they barely killed one lane creep when pulled. Getting the Kobold as a first spawn at min 1 was so depressing since even a half pull didn't work so well.

Iirc, there were no big hero changes since the meta right now is defined more by items and who can use them the best. So the biggest changes were made to the meta defining items Disperser, diffu, shivas and vlads.
Although Disperser wasn't flat out nerf. They reduced some stats and changed the mechanic a little. Its now worse for illu heroes, Druid and meepo since it doesn't give you the buff as an aoe but it might be better for heroes like slark now since you can slow a target and get the buff as a self cast at the same time.

Diffu now having a manacost (thank fucking god), seems fair.

Shivas git slight stat reductions and also an increase of the recipe cost.

Vlads got nerfed into the ground again, i don't think supports like venge will keep buying this, I'd wager it will drop out of the meta again.

Other than that, they slightly changed stats on items that were slightly too good, like safety bubble.

Not sure if I forgot anything, I don't have the notes in front of me rn.

Edit: Played one match so far and had two people picking meme shit for their roles. So don't have any first hand expierence yet.

that'd be awesome if could find friends to party for that game here on kiwi. I mean i fucking always played it alone like a fucking loser.

Unfortunately, i have quite a few problems with the game. I don't like what they did with some characters and the developers don't know how to run game, turning it to gacha experience with bad updates. CK, Swen, Clinkz, Tinker, Ice Maiden, skywrath mage SF etc. so many characters that were either fucked or forced just to make tournament players look professional.

I miss old Dota 2 so much. There was a point where the game was considered to be the most balanced it's ever been, with the largest pool of competitive heroes. Instead of building on what worked they made sweeping changes to everything just to be different. I'm tired of change for the sake of change.
they do this like a scam to profit more from dota plus and other shit tier guides.

that way they can micromanage guide while outsourcing it straight from the players of the game.

even doe all these niggers needed to do was just pay for the servers, even game items are workshop.

maybe it was workshop that ruined it by offering the idea to add items in the game like they have to add them?

i fucking hate that shit, why make characters that are inferior no matter the build nigger

I feel like those are some of the most basic heroes, besides tinker, you mentioned there, while Tinker is in a tolerable spot rn with the changes to blink.
The pool of heroes that I would consider "grief picks" is currently quite small, especially in lower ranks. That's why I auto ban pudge, because I don't want him on my team.
