Yes, Capone was definitely branded and the other horses were too. I find it absolutely hypocritical that Douggie cries cruelty and exploitation in regards to desexing, the food industry, etc. when he was an active participant in the horse breeding/showing and dog breeding/showing industries-- which you would expect someone to also lump in as exploitative, if they consider something as simple as neutering to be abhorrent. (Not a horse person so I can't speak to the ethics of branding, though, sorry. @HolyBeast could probably chip in.)
