I believe some of them were too aggressive, but HFH (Hope For Horses) does well at rehabilitating abused horses.

It would be worth contacting HFH to see what the outcome is for those horses, years later. I remember reading a post on the HFH blog that discussed them but I don’t know if it’s still there.

Edited to add: My mistake, there were two horses seized (not including Capone I’m assuming) and seven dogs. I don’t know the fate of those two other horses, unfortunately.
