"Doxing" in 2025

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I will continue to use ‘dox’ because I’m not a fucking retard.
I mean I can sort this out for you real fast. I don't give a shit.

If you want to use doxing to describe what is legally known as doxing go for it, that's why there's no word filter, it's still a word. But I'm going to start treating, at a certain point, "I'm doxing this guy" as "I'm harassing this guy" and that is against the rules.

I'm so, so sorry the world is working against people in every way, that words have changed in meaning, that the world is less free, etc, etc. Nobody suffers from this more than me. But don't make it more of my problem. Don't aggravate my fucking condition by being a dumb prick.

"Phonebooking" seems right for looking up someone's address in public, government run and maintained databases, such as property tax records. "Unmasking" seems right for reveling someone's real name.

I suppose "journalism" would be a good catch all if you're doing both of the above at the same time.

So it sounds like you are going to moderate use of the word ‘dox’ to maintain your section 230 protection.

I think this would have gone over a lot better if you had just made a statement like this outright:

“In order to protect the site against liability, users engaged in or otherwise promoting ‘doxing’ as legally defined here: [legal definition] will be banned/moderated/etc.”

You don’t have to create a crusade against the word itself because, as some other users pointed out, that’s not going to solve the legal problem you’re trying to solve anyway.

Highly recommend you get advise from a lawyer on this one. As for me, I can promise you that I do not engage in any illegal activity.

You are too dumb to understand this issue, please take it on confidence that the OP is written for a good purpose. Section 230 has ZERO criminal liability protections.

Just use a different fucking word that doesn't have a criminal definition to it! Do you not fucking get it?

Just a suggestion, asking for this, and taking away the "Reactions Received" page, by doing the later, you make a number of people far less likely to do the former willingly.
This is my new favorite page:

I suggest replacing the word 'doxxing' with nulling.
So, anyone new who is confused with the new terminology can just quick-link to this thread and bend the knee.
Ez fix, so MLG, so leet.

My vote for a replacement term goes to "Journalizing" or "journalism"
Example phases:
to Journalize/journalized/journalizing/will journalize (verb)
to Journalize someone (use of verb for journalizing someone specifically)
This person has already been journalized in the past (past tense verb)
Here is this person's journalism (noun)
In this thread, people engage in gossip, trash talk and journalism (noun for the act of journalizing)
I will commit to this by using that word in the future.

Bonus points if this site had a default page citing examples of CNN et al journalists doxing people posting people's names and addresses under the guise of 'journalism', which makes this a 100% applicable term even by pre-existing definitions.

Word filters would have the opposite effect. Remember how well some people took to “exceptional individual” or “onions/basedboy” on 4chan?
But the issue in this case is specifically the wording, not the intent of the word.

Either way, someone way back already responded that adding a word filter would put responsibility on null for posted content under section 230 or something like that so it's probably not a good idea.

Doxxing.... has changed.

It's no longer about information, behavior, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of faggots, bought by troons and niggers. Doxxing--and it's sneeding of life--has become a well-oiled machine. Doxxing has changed. ID-tagged tranny jannies make ID-tagged posts, use ID-tagged accounts. Hormones inside their bodies degrade and corrupt their abilities. Genetic control, information control, emotion control, Internet control…everything is monitored and kept under control. Doxxing…has changed. The age of sneeding has become the age of control, all in the name of averting suicide from troons of mass delusion, and he who controls the Internet, controls history. Doxxing…has changed. When the Internet is under total control, doxxing becomes routine.

ED used to call it Powerwording, but that term might be too lame now.

Yes. As a tribute. (old ED, not the 6 zombies that followed)

(BTW- Null doesn't care what word you use. Just don't use 'Dox')

and get Tommy outta this thread.. Old queer nonce...

Literal incel mindset.

"They're gonna hate me no matter what, so I'll intentionally make myself as disgusting as possible on purpose, that'll show them!"
"If we change the language normies will respect us!"

"When has changing our language made us respected?"

"The normies will change their mind!"

"OK, but when have normies changed their mind before?"

"Omg you fucking incel."

sauce / saucing / sauced ... since most of the sauce is found by idiots spilling their spaghetti everywhere.
eta: it could also work as an adjective. "it sure was saucy of them to link all of their socials in their profile".

How about “autisming?“
"their autism is in the op".
we know, that's why they're a lolcow, and why they have an op in the first place.

How about we put up a poll? Whichever word gets the most votes is the word we’ll use going forward.

I'm not sure if it'd be worth doing or not btw Null, but you could add a filter to the site to automatically change "dox" to whatever new term the community decides on using going forward. I think so much as letting the word "dox" exist on the forum is going to prove to be a massive fucking liability one of these days given the direction things are headed in. I'd even go as far to say that retroactively applying a word filter to already existing posts could be worth doing, honestly.

😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 did bro seriously just try and scribble out his stupid post like bro I can still read it thru the strikeout hahaha deadass 💀💀💀💀💀💀
