14 will probably get the occasional streaming movie or special or mini-series or guest spot depending on Tate and Tennant's availability.
it is the year 2053, and david tennant is still doing specials where he plays the doctor.
I think they will get at least another set of specials to try to start the whoniverse branding again bc starting it with a unit show would be ratings poison

Was watching this video from 2020.

Quoting this bit of irony from the transcript:

Davies, as a long-term fan, knew that Doctor Who was great in its own right and, as an award-winning writer, knew that its return needed to be just that - a return to its fundamental and unique selling points, not a Frankenstein’s Monster of past glories stitched together with stuff borrowed from other contemporary hits.

Makes you wonder if Davies' past self would be horrified at what he's done now.

"This is a burner account for obvious reasons. I won’t say what I do but I work for Disney not the BBC, or BadWolf so I only know vague overarching plans, not specifics.

The 15th Doctor’s first season will be called Season 1 in an attempt to give new viewers a jumping on point.

The companion Ruby Sunday will have a boyfriend who romantically falls for the Doctor gradually over the next two seasons. It’s planned that the Doctor only reciprocates through flirting for now, but it may develop further if received well. The reason I’ve heard given for this is that RTD wants to avoid the classic female companion falling for the Doctor whilst the boyfriend gets pushed aside. He still wants a love interest to keep an element of romantic drama, though. Disney see this being controversial as the romantic Doctor plot-line has been used a lot.

The plans for the 15th Doctor’s personality were set out long before the 60th and is hoped to be similar to Captain Jack Harkness’ in terms of being flirty and fun, but with a side of sternness and anger as to not become a caricature.

The other piece of info I’ve heard is a long arc indented to go through all of 15’s run centring around him regenerating into an evil version of himself called the Valeyard. This is hinted at throughout Season 1 with flashbacks to previous Doctor’s warning Ncuti of his future. The finale of Season 1 is a story about a small group of Dalek survivors that intend to take over world set in 1940s America. It is revealed that the rest of the Daleks were destroyed by the Doctor in his future.

It’s intended that Doctor will regenerate into the Valeyard Midway through Season 3 with a future version of 15 going back in time to attempt to get him to regenerate back into himself. It’s hoped that pervious Doctors will be in 15’s final episode, but nothing is confirmed as actors will have different schedules."

Lets hope Ncuti isnt another Barrowman and starts whiping his dick out, I cant believe RTD is making buck breaking a core part of 15's personality

There will be a one season arc: 'The One Who Waits' which could be anything, but probably a gay Master, which wouldn't be new anyway as Pertwee and Delgano always had a bit of chemistry.

So assuming any of this is true
RTD’s solution to “female character falling for the Doctor” trope is to….have her boyfriend ditch her for the Doctor? What makes him think that is any better? This sounds like something a fujo fanfic writer would come up with.

>Valeyard
Same shit, different leaker. I'll believe it when I see it.

Previously I mentioned I was not watching the newest specials due to wokeism.
I have instead procured the whole series and am starting at the very beginning instead.

Looks like 15 will be fun personality wise, but the rest of this doesn't sound good. Especially since I'm reminded of the 1920s Dalek plot RTD made and the stuff with the evil counterpart is cheap.

I could've sworn RTD said there won't be any classic monsters in the new series. That doesn't really line up with what the leaker's saying, especially the Daleks in Manhattan retread.
