Not going to lie im kinda expecting BBC giving stupid powers to the negro because he deserved it
 
The leaks were so ridiculous I refused to belive they were true. But it’s official this show has officially jumped the shark.

And this from a show that features a 2 hearted alien that time travels in a magic box in every episode.

I know Rusell is having his cake and eating it, saving Tennant, for when the black doctor inevitably tanks the ratings, but I still having trouble buying this amoeba bi-re generation thing.

The gimmick worked for me and I have this show a chance for Tennnat, but it’s obvious by know RTD has lost his mind and is just preoccupied with the message. I have officially given up on this show. Which is a shame as there were some genuinely good bits these last two episodes.

I don’t know man. I miss Moffat. His brand of wokeness was far more bearable.

I wonder if with this "bi-regenerating thing" could be used to bring back the Railyard Valeyard? Not that is would get me to watch nu-nu-who though if they did and I'm sure it's basically too late either way.

This show is old enough it has repeatedly jumped the shark, including 1985 at the latest. It has probably jumped twice and semi-recovered just during nu-Who.
 
Question.

If there's two doctors, are they going to be doing A-B testing with episodes ratings to see which one is more popular and then kill the other? (Bigenerations don't get regenerations/Bigenerations get all the regenerations)

Honestly bigenerations leaves the door open to recast older doctors and bring back newer doctors. I'm expecting Capaldi or Eccleston back so they can show their grandchildren what them being the doctor looks like.

Yes, but I think it was Terry Jones who did this, not Gilliam. Much of the pre-Python work they all did for the BBC is still lost, tho, which sucks. I remember seeing Pertwee episodes in black and white as a kid and being surprised years later to find out that they were supposed to be in color. In my mind, Baker was in color, Pertwee was in B&W and Troughton and Hartnell were just legends.

I'm thinking I got my BBC being cheap stories mixed up. Makes sense as the lore of that is deeper than Doctor Who itself.

Clothes have regenerated before in Doctor Who, just not in the modern era. I think it was Pertwee to Baker, but don't quote me on that.

I always thought the intention was to have the Meta-Crisis doctor from a while back to be the one that eventually becomes the Valeyard.

No, even when Pertwee and Baker regenerated, they were still initially in their predecessors clothes.

I've personally held that Jodi Whittaker's 13th Doctor was the revival-era's version of Colin Baker's 6th Doctor run - a fresh new and excited face who was supposed to take the franchise in a new direction, but ultimately marked its serious decline due to a combination of bad direction, bad writing, and behind the scenes production issues. If we're following a cyclical view of history, that means that Ncuti's run as the 15th Doctor is probably going to wind up being like McCoy's run as the 7th - some great stories, but the steep decline is set in, and no matter how great of a Doctor he might be low ratings and disinterest means that the show is inevitably going to get another "break." Whether or not it winds up lasting for more than 20 years (give or take any TV movies premiering on an American network) is something we'll have to wait and see.

RTD's worked with him before, I'm sure he's got job security. As for Tennant, it's hard to tell right now if they're actually setting up for a spin-off or other additional content. It was clear from the dialogue at the outdoor dinner that Fourteen had been on other adventures with Nu-Rose etc., so there's a space there to create stories from, but we're in a completely new era now so anything could happen.

This...is so wrong on so many levels. Not only does it basically rob all the gravity and pathos of all those times an incarnation of the Doctor died and had to pass on, but this idea of a "Doctor verse" screams RTD is basically doing to Doctor Who what's happened to Star Wars and the MCU - where it is now less about producing stories and more about producing "content." Granted we got our first inkling of this back when he was still in charge and created all those Who spinoff shows, but this is really going for broke.

Say all you want about Moffat, the guy at least, was a genuine Doctor Who fan and he was very very obsessed with canon.

Sure he started a lot of the annoying wokeshit trends, like women talking down on men for being men, Bill reminding us she is a lesbian every five minutes, and retconning the first doctor to be sexist. But he sincerely loved Doctor Who, so I suspect he mostly did the wokeness as a survival mechanism.

I feel bad for him because Chibnall pretty much retconned the hell out of everything he did. Then Chibnall murdered the show, and then RTD came just to dance on its grave. I miss him a lot. We had it good and we just didn’t know it.

Somebody just take out this show out if it’s misery.
