Not sure who they're trying to fool with shit like this

Not only is Gatwa a fag , but Ruby is a dyke as well

What are the current odds on Gatwa and Jynx Monsoon getting busted for shit like Barrowman and Noel Clarke?

How the fuck did people not know Jack was a fag? He brought it up every chance he could from his very first episode. (IIRC, Rose suggests that she distracts one of the guards, and Jack tells her dumb ass that he isn't in to women, so HE was going to distract the guard instead. By fucking him.)

Unlokely since all his work is postive and pushes the message and has a lways done so. They aren’t going to throw under the bus when of their best spoke people.

It’s less that and more in exchange for the resources to make the show which the BBC does not fully have.

If the BBC wanted to throw RTD under the bus they could. Disney does not have any more info on him than anyone else.
He is also an old white male who is too old and successful to troon out. That is his biggest weakness. Being gay will only get you so far in this world.

The people criticising his work on the basis of race and/or gender will always, always have the upper hand. And there is plenty of stuff in there to find fault with, even when seen through a progressive lens. It can never be pushing the message hard enough.

Yes, the specials were message-heavy. But they were also bad optics. Verilybitchie recently made a video where he says that scene with the Meep's pronouns came across like a "Did you just assume my gender?" joke. He's not wrong either. In the video, he actually makes plenty of good points in amongst all the SocJus retardation - such as the fact that Classic Who (which people like to pretend is woke in order to win online arguments) is actually not very woke on modern gender politics.

RTD's original sci-fi show, Years And Years, pushes the message even harder, but drops the ball in several key areas. Like its first episode, set in the future year of... 2024, introduces the concept of transhumanism (mind-uploading and Neuralink type stuff) but shortens the word to "trans", seemingly replacing that word's usage as the short form of "transgender". This is played for laughs when a gen alpha girl uses that word without clarification and her out-of-touch parents still think it means transgender.

The only real trans rep in that series is the little boy, who starts cross-dressing when his aunt makes him wear a female disguise, and later troons out for real. This could be interpreted as the good kind of trans representation (even though "trans" no longer means trans in that universe), but it could also be interpreted rather less charitably as giving legitimacy to the "myth" that trans kids are being groomed into it.

Again, RTD being a cis man and writing these characters will be brought up against him at some point. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Anyway, some Who fandom cringe:

This particular fan cannot seem to express a preference for a specific shade of blue without adding that it's not for sexist reasons, and fuck you if you dislike the 13th Doctor! You do not hate this fandom enough.

Another fan gets bent out of shape about The Giggle's "Do you come in a range of colours?" line. And I don't know what he's been smoking - people mention it all the time. You can't throw a stone in the Doctor Who fandom without hitting an autistic white guy for whom talking about blacks in less-than-fully-reverent tones makes him uncomfy. You do not hate this fandom enough.

I also just listened to an hour and a half podcast with Samyul Davis and his straight friend discussing how they'd remake Jodie's first season with their favourite extended media stories.

It wasn't presented as a political podcast but you get the point. Here are the "best" parts. You do not hate this fandom enough.

I think it's probably the story that I've seen that has done the most with the idea of a female Doctor, and does the most to combat the shitty bigoted reaction towards the 13th Doctor.

We've just had Series 10 Capaldi. That's... I fucking love that stuff. But I want to get people in. I want to lure the general public in before we go: "Trans rights, fuck you."

We can have the Redacted girlies do something interlinking with the episode that aired last night, why not? It can help make the era as gay as it was marketing itself to be.
Interesting how progressives don't tend to approve of calling women "girlies", except when those women are (and the actors who play them)... you guessed it!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Cismale tranny defenders are worse than trannies.

But also, Doctor Who presented as a state-sanctioned alternative to the syllabus - a different history syllabus. It's lovely.

Doctor Who has had a longstanding problem with race - I think a lot of people would agree - even until quite recently.

If the Doctor is above the human sexism of the time, that implies that other brilliant, daring women of the past weren't. Y'know what I mean? The Doctor has to be victim to the injustices of the past. She has to be.

@DoubleD

You’d really think they’d have learnt by now that saying ‘we want to lure in normies before pulling the rug’ openly is a reason people hate them.

At least RTD has the balls to be upfront and honest about what he’s doing.

Most allies have so little respect for trans people that have to be stealthy about putting them in because they have no faith in them.

And of couese the doctor is above human sexism and wouldn’t have suffered it if they had presented as women in the past. And of course that means other women weren’t. For the simple fact that the doctor was not human and most other women were.

God the fandom and these guys are dumb.

Didn't know about Davies having been widowed/lost his father in rapid succession (how did they die BTW? Covid?) but you underestimate another critical factor for RTD going hyper-woke: his insanely militant friendship with Chinball, IE the guy behind making Doctor Who super woke with Jodie's tenure on the show.

Chinball was a horrible writer during season one of the revival and pretty much deep sixed Torchwood with his hackery to the point that the BBC had to do stunt casting to keep the show going before they threw their hands up in the air and just canceled the series. But Davies not only refused to fire him but kept giving him work and pushed for him to take over for Moffatt. He REPEATEDLY white knighted Chinball's bullshit and attacked with the usual SJW blood libel tactics, anyone who criticized Chinball, and his hackery. And with Chinball crashing the franchise with no survivors, RTD REPEATEDLY refused to come back until the BBC made him a deal so sweet that even Chinball had to tell RTD he was a retard not to take it and gave his blessing for RTD to take over the show from him. And in return, RTD once again brought the blood libel attacks out and quadrupled down on Chinball's rape of the franchise and bullshit like Donna having a trans kid, the later part I have to think was done EXPLICITLY to piss off people who wanted Donna back by turning her into a harridan of a SJW type, the one who scream "Death to TERFs" and who encourages their tranny kids to use violence against anyone who says "no" to them. Especially with the implication that RTD gave (that IIRC I mentioned when the first 60th Anniversary special aired) that Donna was holding over her mother's head, full disownment of her if she didn't tow the line on the tranny shit and that even Donna herself was having to do private struggle sessions to avoid screeching in horror that she fucked up as a mom by having a tranny kid. And the added "fuck you" to viewers, who spent YEARS fan ficcing ways to restore Donna's memories and ability to be near the Doctor again, including the fact that Moffatt set up an out in the Library two-parter, only for it to be solved by the existence of the tranny kid in a cringy as fuck sequence that seemed to exist solely so that RTD can avenge Chinball and sock it to the TERFs, Brexiters, and other types RTD doesn't like.

The "range of colours" line was peak Donna. That guy needs to pull the sonic screwdriver out of his ass.
Not only that, but Donna seems absolutely delighted when both Doctors answered "yes" in unison. Since she married two black guys and has the hots for a brown Isaac Newton, the girl clearly has a race-mixing kink. This line is peak Donna, but in a way the progs should be delighted by. (Okay, okay. That line almost certainly has a more politically correct explanation, but it is my head canon, God dammit.)

But of course, the easily offended types can construe it as a horrible racist joke at the Black Doctor's expense, so the benefit of the doubt is not given.

Didn't know about Davies having been widowed/lost his father in rapid succession (how did they die BTW? Covid?)
His husband died in 2018 of a brain tumour, and was diagnosed 7 years before that. His father died in 2015, so they would have both been ill at the same time, but obviously not from covid... unless the virus hopped onto its own TARDIS.

Come to think about it, I'm sure RTD could write a great preachy episode that deals with the implications of transmitting a known pathogen to people in the past who don't have immunity, and somehow make it about anti-vaxxers.

but you underestimate another critical factor for RTD going hyper-woke: his insanely militant friendship with Chinball, IE the guy behind making Doctor Who super woke with Jodie's tenure on the show.
Chibnall is actually a lukewarm liberal who was only being as woke as the BBC needed him to be. Davies, by contrast, is a queer activist who was (and still is) being about as woke as the BBC will let him get away with, and would very much like to be even woker.

Believe me when I say that the Chibnall era's politics were called conservative by the fans, and not undeservedly so. Series 11 is full of episodes that undermine (or even outright contradict) the morals they were intended to have:
  • Rosa - a history lesson about something 99% of woke people already know about had to be dumbed down. Not to mention that it sands off the revolutionary rough edges of the Civil Rights movement to make it more acceptable to liberals.
  • Arachnids in the UK - the gun-toting Trump knockoff was written to make the president look bad but ended up taking the most moral action at the episode's climax (shooting a creature that was already dying and in great pain) so it actually made him look based.
  • Demons of the Punjab - the British empire is blamed for the partition of India, but the face of that villainy is brown guys.
  • Kerblam - this is the one that woke people hate the most, their go-to example of everything wrong with Chibnall era politics. An anti-capitalist rebel who wants to smash the system of worker exploitation is portrayed as the villain. The Doctor's speech about how "The systems aren't the problem." boils this down to a single line. It might have originally been scripted to be anti-capitalist, but it likely went through several redrafts.
  • The Witchfinders - portrays the villagers as sexist bigots for the way they hunted witches, but contradicts its own moral by having those witches turn out to be real and dangerous, so the bigots were proven correct.
  • It Takes You Away - a man uses fake monster sounds to frighten his blind daughter into obedience, but never receives comeuppance for the abuse.
  • Battle of Forgettable Planet Name - The moral of the story is anti-revenge, but woke people's version of justice actively desires revenge. Plus, a quick death for the villain would have been preferable to the millennia of imprisonment that Graham condemned him to.
  • Every 13th Doctor story - portrays Thirteen as a boring cis woman and not a tranny. And almost every line of hers could have been written for a privileged cis man. The dichotomy is never commented upon. And the fact that she went through a gender transition is rarely commented on. And when it is, those comments could have just as easily been made about a cis woman.
  • Several past-focused stories (but especially Rosa) portray the past as immutable, despite the characters' ability to change things. Woke people see this as a justification for historical atrocities. Woke people really want to move past the 'fixed points in time' concept and turn the characters into badass radical activists who deliberately change things for the better. (They criticise Umbrella Academy Season 2 for the exact same reason.)
Series 11 is exactly what happens when a committee of studio executives tries to pretend to be woke. Even they must have known it wasn't working very well, because they pulled back from it significantly in Series 12 and 13.

Davies, by contrast, is a pretentious artist with a radically queer vision. He's retained an enormous amount of creative control of the show and refuses to let a committee water it down. Already, he has made inroads into the idea that the past can be changed. It starts with a harmless recurring gag about 'mavity'. But if I were a betting man, I'd bet that more significant alterations to the timeline will be made when he visits the past in Disney Who.

Actually fuck it. I am a betting man. If David Tennant is the Valeyard, I will post RTD's dox on this thread.

But anyway, Davies isn't even half as annoying as the kind of woke "people" who enjoy his slop and actively demand it to be made even sloppier....

Did I mention that you do not hate this fandom enough?

There is another way of looking at this which is, it's not that they are just playing at being woke, it's that the wokies are so full of contradictions and so generally repulsive to humanity in general that the more they set out their wokyness the more it falls apart. There's an inevitable disconnect when what wokies push keeps getting bitchslapped by reality

It's why they have to redefine words to mean the opposite of their actual meaning (e.g. racism, normality, terrorist, harassment, justice, tolerance) and go into flat spins when asked what a woman is or have statements like Islam is right about women and a man is not a woman put to them. It's also why woke comedy doesn't work. The "you can't offend people" is a lie - there are lots of people wokies just love to offend, just don't offend any of the sacred cows. The problem is that so much comedy has to be based on a kernel of truth then exaggerated or distorted. It's the twisting of reality that is funny. If the starting point is a denial of reality it fails.

Taking just the Demons of the Punjab episode as an illustrator; yes the British Empire effected the partition. The problem for this narrative is that partition was not the problem. The problem was the Hindus and Muslims merrily slaughtering each other (it's who they are and what they do) from antiquity to the current day, a situation partially suppressed during British colonialism. Partition was an attempted resolution of the problem of the locals bloodlust. It failed to stop them killing each other but that was never going to happen. The argument that partition was the cause of the problem is just a woke denial of reality so falls flat with anyone capable of thought.

Wokism is intrinsically retarded; therefore it can only appeal to the retarded and the more retarded they go, the smaller the audience with sufficient retardation to seal clap along becomes.

Even the word "Woke" in it's current usage is one of these inverted meaning words. Just a decade or 2 back the people that people refer to as "woke" now were the people some would say you needed to "stay woke" about. That one's less due to these people specifically and more the result of people misunderstanding the sarcastic usage shit either unintentionally or intentionally. Pointed this out before but it never stops being a weird thing.

The definition I use which I feel to reflect the general sphere of good faith criticisms of woke shit/sjws/political correctness/whatever you wanna call it is as follows.

Using extremely/radically progressive sounding words, concepts, narratives, and aesthetics to excuse ones own shitty behaviour or shitty products for entirely self-serving reasons, either by presenting said behaviour or products as inherently furthering irreproachably vital progressive causes, or by smearing critics of said behaviour or products as egregiously hateful, pathetic, and dangerous degenerates whose criticism constitutes an unforgivable crime against humanity and the causes said behaviour or products furthers, and whom must be censored and censured by polite society in perpetuity

The key term is progressive sounding which is where we see so many cases of middle aged/elderly media goons like chinballs or russell vomiting out shit they think sounds super-duper twitter progressive, but unknown to them is either markedly outdated in that sphere of retards or has now become heresy to even consider. Since they dont give two actual and genuine shits about this shit in and of itself they neither have the knowledge nor the interest needed to keep abreast of where the hive mind is at any given point, they often wind up stepping on landmines which cause them to have televised struggle sessions followed by months of grovelling, or in some rare cases their egos finally taking over and them starting their own tard fight against the retards they were trying to pander to while quietly trying to get on the good side of those they once castigated as hateful neo nazis.

This latter option has been seen in cases like Graham Linehan and most famously JK Rowling who were once woke social media darlings fawned over by the retard mob until they mistakenly thought the third wave feminism shit they knew as an "edgy leftist" gimmick of the 80s and 90s (i.e. men are biologically subhuman and must be kept away from women) was still in vogue and thus wound up unwittingly declaring a ho-ho-holocaust against the most sacred of sacred cows of the social media retard mob, the troons. Due to their own stubborn notion that the troons and troon enablers were just some wacky fringe they steadily doubled down, waiting for the retard mob to see their idols being attacked and come to their rescue, only to then be loudly and furiously denounced en masse by their IRL friends and colleagues who wanted either their own social advancement by denouncing the new heretics, or were terrified of being accused of sympathising with said heretics and so violently burnt any and all bridges as soon as they could.

However, Davies has neither the fuck-you money of Rowling, nor the raw autism and anger management issues of Linehan, so any time he blasphemes will be swiftly followed by mumbled apologies and promises to do better, alongside obnoxious "gestures" to show how super duper woke he really is, i.e. retconning the the first/second/third doctors as genderqueer bottoms who frequented san fransisco bath houses

As bad as Doctor Who is right now, to be fair there’s nothing anyone can do because reversing all the unpopular changes would basically be carrer suicide. I doubt we are the only ones that hate it, but theres little anyone can do.

Reversing the timeless child for example has the baggage of you ”hating minorities “ and being against the first Black female doctor, and the first doctor “achzually being a black girl”.

As woke as Moffat is. I doubt he is happy about all the retcons either, because, as liberal as he is, he is a Doctor Who nerd too. But I doubt even he can do much and he has had to bite his tongue so far.

There will definitely be some cultural posturing in the new season, at least if the reviews are anything to go by. The bright side is the actual sci-fi content and Nctui as the Doctor are almost unanimously receiving praise, which is something that could not be said for the majority of the Chibnall era with Jodie and co. Not her fault of course, look at the crappy scripts and boring premises she had to deal with.

I m watching the new episode called space babies and the premise is a space ship is able to clone people the ship is ran by babies that were cloned on the ship and ship captin is a black female baby that "grew up wrong"

Its almost like a parody......fuck

abortion and now refugee shit....mother fucker

I just finished watching it and yeah, it's goofy as fuck. I don't think this story would work with any other Doctor because Nctui actually manages to sell the most ridiculous concepts without feeling like he's trying too hard. I suppose 2 or 11 could do a decent job, they were similarly goofy at times.
