This whole thing is just a never-ending shit show that just keeps giving us gold.
 
They realise right that the reason Who is being funded by Disney and RTD is back is this kind of attitude led to all the fans quitting, no new fans and the BBC almost cancelling the show?

And as far as I know the backlash to 15 has not really been because black. It’s been the writing being shit. And everyone hiding behind him being black to deflect any and all criticism.

Basically if you know your show or product or whatever sucks, bring in a Negro or a tranny or whatever, so when it obviously fails, you can scream waycism or whatever, as if that will bring back viewers. I guess your ESG score goes up.

I've only really seen Space Babies get clowned on, the other two episodes seem to have gone down well enough. Next week's episode will be interesting to see because it's written by Moffat.

Isn't it convenient the moment disney starts funding them they use tried and true disney method to respond to jokes and critical responses about star wars and disney live action remake slop the LAST TEN YEARS.

The guys that made the shitty ghostbusters did this but Disney REALLY fucking went and kept fucking doing this shit and every studio they bought started doing this shit afterwards. It's the megacorps way of attempting to dehumanize and disregard the people that want to see them make something actually good. They're acting like characters being gay or trans is a new thing again despite them previously trying to "own" fans by pointing out that those characters already technically existed in canon, which is that specific fucking two faced disingenuous shit that people funded or owned by US media megacorps do a shitload of the time now.

I am curious too. He is super left wing so I doubt he minds too much stuff some of the progressive stuff. Hell his run was when the wokeness started to get unbearable.

But, the canon breaking stuff like “The Timeless Child?” Or undoing his 50th anniversary? Now that’s something I bet he must hate.

For all his faults, I do think he is the best individual episode writter of New who by far. I hope I am wrong, but, best case scenario? He’ll write the best individual episode of the season, but it won’t retcon any of the stupid shit Chibnall did on his run, that RT doubled down for.
 
Articles like that just make me roll my eyes. You know Nctui wouldn't say anything like that and most likely doesn't think it either due to him working with RTD before Doctor Who. It's essentially putting words in his mouth since he represents the show and that's not fair.

It's a setting with time travel as the central premise and alternate realities, reality alteration, memory muckery and more as recurring plot tools. If they want to say the original Doctor was Hitler that could be plausibly done within the parameters the setting allows.

I admit I haven't seen the Timeless Child stuff but was that revelation brought by said original Doctor? If so awesome, pick one of a long list of time travelling villains who it could have been fucking with them. The Master is the easiest go to but the list is expansive.

All of which is moot. The current Who run is an attempt to make it seem like selling it to Disney is a reasonable choice. As soon as it's proposed the response should be "nope, created by and owned by the British tax payer. BBC does not have the say and for proposing it should have someone fired." World being what it is it will be one more thing Disney owns and never does anything with as good as the originals.

It’s amazing really. Especially because the people complaining about why stuff is failing now were the same people being taught ‘if you want to convert and pass on the message do it with things people like’

I’m convinced RTD is the only sane one left in the room and is internaly screaming ‘this won’t work, trust me, I know what I’m doing, you got all of your progresdive values from watching my show in 2005. And all of your cool female characters are by and large thanks to the dude I left running the show. Please stop trying to ruin stuff’
