I wish I could feel something. Anything. Maybe some me kind of outage or shock. But I don't. I wasn't event able to muster an eye roll.

Maybe I would have if they had done this when the show as good. But I don't have energy one to care anymore. I just feel empty. Nothing. Complete apathy. I guess I am already used to this song and dance.

Has turned on RTD

I mean, obviously. Why would they need to attract the adult fans that are already watching if for no other reason than habbit and to scream at it?

When the show relaunched in 2005 he did the same thing, designed it to bring in a younger audiance.

In fact most of the people complaining and staying with the show now were brought in by the revival.

And it could be srgued RTD doing that ‘saved Doctor Who’

So of course he’s been brought in to do the exact same thing again.

This seems like a disconnect between what diehard fans mean by ‘save the show’ and what people making the show and spending the money mean.

TL;DR they brought RTD back on to get kids and dudes of all teenages to watch the show and badger their parents to buy the merch without having to get jobs. Again. Remember Christopher Eccleston's comments about acting for children: "they can't be bullshitted, they either like you or they don't" (or something to that effect). Also remember his more recent comments about firing RTD and his crew because they were assholes.

Way to miss the point

They did, Captain Jack kissed both the Doctor and Rose when he was about to make his stand against the Daleks in (I think) Parting of the Ways. OFC that was after his character had been built up over several episodes and both he and the viewer knew he was probably going to his death. But he wasn't black so it doesn't count or something

No, I got the point. It was hard not to with that image. Lol.

Yup.

And he’s right. Ehich is why if you want to grt them you have to give them stuff they want. Which RTD fid in spades. So bringing him back and asking him to do the kind of stuff he did originally makes total sense. Just that ain’t always what fans want. And RTD seems like he can no longer do it anyway, which makes everything way worse. Focusing not on the fans only works if you aren’t suffering brainrot to the degree he is.
Also remember his more recent comments about firing RTD and his crew because they were assholes.
Those were funny.

I've seen a few articles add a qualifier to say that it was the first romantic same-sex kiss for the show, but they are wrong about that too as the lizard lesbian kissed her human wife back in Series 8.

There's always going to be a race for rep when it comes to progressive elements. I just ignore that and focus on the character dynamics, which make sense with Fifteen and Rogue but aren't gracefully executed in terms of pacing. That said, Ten and Kylie Minogue's character in Voyage of the Damned and also Madame Du Pompadour in The Girl in the Fireplace were whirlwind romances too (literally in the case of the latter, it was like half an hour for him and decades for her) so I'm not as critical of it as some. Rogue is an OK character and I'd like to see him come back.

Yeah I remember. I don't really mind gay characters just to be clear. But the way this show, and most media for that matter, had done , has made me cynical on their true intentions.

Tough I suppose the people that grew up with the doctor not being romantic whatsoever, like in the classic series, or straight like most of early New Who might be more shocked I suppose.

The interaction between War and Eleven in Day of the Doctor always makes me laugh.

[They see Queen Elizabeth kissing Ten at their wedding]
War: Is there a lot of this in the future?
Eleven: It does start to happen, yeah.

Doctor Who twitter's posted clips of the Tardis making some weird groaning sound in Wild Blue Yonder, The Devil's Chord and Rogue. I figured it was something for next season, but I guess it'll be addressed in tomorrow's episode. Wild Blue Yonder is also the first episode that Susan Twist appeared in.

whats weird is the show itself was trying to say it was the first same sex kiss but like the doctor did this with jack in 2005
Well, the interview circuit surrounding the episode certainly did. I don't think the Doctor personally gives a shit who he's in a relationship with, the guy is just lonely.

It appears he shares more in common with John Nathan-Turner than just being a pederast. He wants to pilot the show straight into the ground in the service of faggotry.
After what a shitshow Chinballz and RTD2 made out of the show.... GET JNT'S NAME OUT YA FUCKIN' MOUTH!!!!!!!
I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet.
Why would it be? Two guys kissing isn't edgy. They should have the doctor have full on anal sex with the twink. Even that might not shock people in current year. Might have to include fisting, BDSM and shit play.

And Jack was actually a character with a personality beyond "pansexual pervert who will fuck almost anything but with standards even if they're limited to 'can it speak in language' and 'is it an adult?'"

This is the thing about SJW retards of modernity. They do shit that was done often 50 years ago, better, and act like they're doing something groundbreaking instead of something only the most sheltered of boomers would consider remotely shocking. Like the Onion article (back when it was funny) about Marilyn Manson desperately going door to door trying to shock people.

The Tardis is going to give birth so we have yet another TARDIS spinning around for when Disney buys it to spin yet another dozen or so series from a franchise that is already a horse beaten to its bones.
