Scrolling through xitter for some doctor who things, came across this. Someone screencapped a video from rtd's instagram. I guess not only does rtd like them gay, but also young too.

Of fucking course he does. The only thing less surprising than this would be if it came out that Moffat was into getting pegged by dominatrixes who roleplay as the multiple various dommy mommy characters he's created over the years.

Disgusting animals, shooting DNA at one another, a true Gallifreyan finds it disgusting!

Time Lords are not bred, they are woven in a loom.

Change my mind.

Expected reply.

But Martha was a smart person, educated, ambitious, successful and independent. Though we didn't see this guy he was also a doctor and someone with a lot of morals and dedication. Mickey is... Mickey. In what Universe can you see that working out?

Martha and this guy were engaged, in love, then for the sake of some dumb wrap-up epilogue she's now snogging Mickey with no explanation? Makes my stomach turn.

Family wanted to watch the new UNIT special so I gave it a shot. Some thoughts:

- Good performances from the main cast (Tovey, Redgrave, whoever plays the female Sea Devil)
- Looks nice on the whole
- Preachy, but not as bad or ham-fisted as the last few seasons
- Very rushed, needed like three or four more episodes
- Ending is very...fatalistic? Not sure if that's the right word.

Tl'dr: Better than the past few seasons, far from a return to form. It does at least show there's potential for more spinoff content that doesn't feature The Doctor.

I was surprised I enjoyed The War Between The Land and The Sea as much as I did, I agree with you for the most part, but I don't know if the fish-fucking was necessary to be subject to lmfao.

I did burst out laughing at the ending to be honest. Full blown schizo shit for no good reason.

I enjoyed Kate going full Punisher on some random beach jogger.

The official tom baker youtube channel released this today, it's him wishing everyone a merry christmas, he then opens a christmas gift bag with the fourth doctor's scarf
Wow is it just me or can you see a lot of William Hartnell's First Doctor in old as fuck Tom Baker now? Rewatching the Fourth Doctor's episodes I could never see 4 being 1, 2 and Three Dr's previously but now I see it here. Maybe my head canon now is Fourth was a lot like the Doctor as a young man it just makes sense now.

At least Colin got some well received audio dramas eventually. What did the other less appreciated Doctors get?
Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee died knowing they were beloved by millions as portraying the Doctor, so there's that. Tom Baker, Davison, Colin Baker, McCoy, McGann, Eccleston, Tennant, Smith and Capaldi will also know before they die they were loved by millions for portraying The Doctor. So there's that. As for Whittaker and Gatwa? No clue if millions will care or mourn their passing but I don't give a fuck either. Dr. Who died with 12.

Donna's virtual husband turns out to be real, but he's got a stutter so he can't call out when he sees her.

I don't think I actually remembered this episode beyond the "hey, who turned out the lights?" scene.

Funny....I literally just dropped on to this thread to mention how I have suddenly witnessed a whole bunch of scuttlebutt about RTD being some manner of sex predator pop up on various radars I have active both online and IRL

Odds are these stories will be relegated to low key background mutterings like they were about the previous homosexual pederast showrunner but just in case shit gets skibidi I wanted to have a post I could use to claim I called it ahead of time

On retrospect, turning every phone call into a miniature soul trap / teletransporter problem seems ill-advised: if future humans are that flippant about locus of identity then why not just send clones of themselves on missions and reintegrate their memories upstream if the clones survive?

This is another facet of the fractal retardation that pisses me off about NuWho, it's not just that the sci-fi concepts don't cohere over the entire series (for a long running serialized show that'd be impossible), but even within stories the worldbuilding doesn't cohere,
"Why yes I'm an alien bounty hunter and this is my bio-syntha-cyborg mind clone slave that drinks children's cerebrospinal fluid for power and can 3d print time traveling landmines with his farts, and the implications of this are- syke the focus of this episode is another Dalek lol" <- NuWho is practically here
