Have it and everything Eighth Doctor related up to Ravenous and the Time War. And the Master trilogy (among other things in the monthly range...)I would *highly* suggest that you seek out both the *entirety* of the 8th Doctor's "Dark Eyes" quadrilogy (where he features massively) but also the (somewhat) recent "two masters" trilogy where both he and the ubiquitous Geoffrey Beevers feature.
Have those too. From what I've read though, people are saying John Hurt was wasted on the War Doctor stories because of how generic they were. I do agree with you about the War Master encounter though, that's easy enough to write around (how many actors on this show have played multiple roles?), shit it could've given extra weight to how the Tenth Doctor reacted to the reveal in Utopia (this guy is a dead ringer for my dead friend from the war, and he's super-smart, brilliant, this guy is everything I wished my bestest friend would've been and I have to do everything in my power to help---oh fuck OH FUCK IT IS HIM I WAS WRONG I WAS SO WRONG)Check out all of the things you mentioned... also, check out the "War Master" Big finish release, because Jacobi is amazing in that... Also check out the the "Gallifrey Time War" set, because they use Also use Jacobi "Master"fully (pardon the pun, lol)... And Jeez, I totally lament the fact that John Hurt died before we were able to see him and Jacobi in the same storyThat would have been amazing....
I have all this Big Finish shit, just not the time to listen to it all. But IM WORKIN' ON IT.
Big Finish could not do shit with anything new series-related outside of the occasional vague reference until 2014, and even then only up to the end of the Eleventh Doctor run. It got extended to the Twelfth Doctor era last year, and will most likely get revised to include the next Doctor run once she bows out/gets the whole fucking thing cancelled again. As I said before, I do not know the extent of any agreements that big finish has made... If "The Time of the Doctor" was the cutoff, than that is news to me... Although "Missy" has also appeared since then.. (In the very same episodes where Simms appeared... for what its worth ) So I do kind of doubt it...
I would hope that if the buyout gets finalized that if the characters don't revert that they just rot in limbo, and that Disney doesn't fold them into Marvel or something. Or that they don't do that thing I said and get brass balls and put in a bid to buy the franchise. And the UK is so pussy-whipped by Muslims that I fear the BBC might be pussy-whipped enough to fold.I don't disagree with anything you said here... But IDK if Disney currently owns any rights to Doctor Who or not... (My instinct is at the very most, they only own the characters I mentioned... ) I do doubt they could afford to buy the entirety of Doctor Who though currently... (might be wrong)
