I don't even know what the fuck a Doctor Who is. Where did this thread come from?
You do know you made this topic now. Eventually you will know what the fuck a Doctor Who is. When you do you will travel back in time to ensure this thread's creation so that history may continue on its natural shitlord course.

I like to believe that there are a race of aliens out there called "The Shitlords". They travel around, both in time and space, in specialized vehicles called T.U.R.D.I.S.'S... (Which of course take the form of a porta-loo.) Perhaps Null is one such being.

I gave Jago and Litefoot Forver a second listen through and I liked it significantly more the second time around.

The story itself is still fairly insubstantial, harmless fluff really... (Which makes sense, considering one of the two leads is reduced to fairly non-specific stock audio clips.) If I'm being honest, those stock clips still feel a little out of place, but I genuinely like it for what it is- A tribute, both to the deceased Trevor Baxter, and to Jago and Litefoot in general.

I also didn't find the clip show aspect to be as intrusive this time around, though it was still a bit odd... Especially considering some of their clip choices
They call back to, and spend significant time on, the Sigmund Freud/Baboon episode... and that was one of the more random off the wall episodes... I'd think they would have connected to more mainstream episodes
I do think that they mostly service the story though. (I at least think they do an adequate job justifying using clips.) As a positive send up for one of my favorite audio series', I am happy.

The bonus feature track, (always a highlight of Jago and Litefoot box sets,) did not disappoint here. Like the show itself, it was focused on celebrating the life of the deceased Trevor Baxter. You can tell there was a real sense of family among all the people who worked on J&L, and it really makes you feel for the loss of Baxter.

This release also includes "The Jago and Litefoot Revival" (Which btw, was really great...) released for the first time in physical format I believe... But I do not care about collecting things in physical format, And I already have the Jago and Litefoot revival digitally. -I think it was a mistake to inflate the price (and I suppose length) of the set with two previously released items.
I can forgive it slightly because the events in that 2-parter do come up several times in Jago and Litefoot Forever, I still do not think it should have been a forced part of the set- And since this is already in spoilers, it is certainly in the running to be the best classic who and new-who crossover. Do listen to it if you can.

Overall: This set is a love letter to the fans of the previous 13 seasons of Jago and Litefoot (and to the series itself), it is NOT however, nor was it meant to be, a jumping on spot for the uninitiated.

Doctor Who spin-off Class is returning

Doctor Who spin-off Class may have been axed after one series, though fans can now breathe a sigh of relief that it will continue in one form.

The show will be back as six audio adventures for Big Finish in August 2018, telling the further adventures of the students at Coal Hill Academy, with all of the original cast members returning to reprise their roles.

Doctor Who Magazine originally confirmed the news and further information was released on May 31. The six new adventures will see the student cross paths with characters from the Doctor Who universe, including Seventh Doctor companion Ace (Sophie Aldred).

The six adventures and their writers are as follows:
  • 1.1 Gifted by Roy Gill
  • 1.2 Life Experience by Jenny T Colgan
  • 1.3 Tell Me You Love Me by Scott Handcock
  • 2.1 Everyone Loves Reagan by Tim Foley
  • 2.2 Now You Know… by Tim Leng
  • 2.3 In Remembrance by Guy Adams
Torchwood back on audio, to do the same all over again with another slice of the Doctor Who universe, and to play in a world created by Patrick Ness," enthused director and producer Scott Handcock."

"It's a real thrill having brought Torchwood back on audio, to do the same all over again with another slice of the Doctor Who universe, and to play in a world created by Patrick Ness," enthused director and producer Scott Handcock.

"The characters and their relationships are key to the success of a series like Class, and the intimacy of the audio medium allows us to bring that to the fore. We've had a great deal of fun reuniting the original cast for the audio series, telling brand-new stories set within the TV run, whilst tackling a host of alien menaces.

Doctor Who universe, and bringing Ace and the Daleks into the world of Class has been an absolute treat. And for full authenticity, we're lucky to have series composer Blair Mowat return to the world of Class as well."

"Of course I couldn't resist linking up to the Doctor Who universe, and bringing Ace and the Daleks into the world of Class has been an absolute treat. And for full authenticity, we're lucky to have series composer Blair Mowat return to the world of Class as well."

Class: The Audio Adventures is available to pre-order now at £23 on CD or £18 on download from the Big Finish site, with prices rising to £25 and £20 when they are released. The two volumes can be purchased as a bundle at £44 on CD and £34 on download, with all CD purchases unlocking a download exclusive from the Big Finish website and app.

Class would not be returning as a BBC Three series last year, and we can sort of understand why as it just didn't work for us.
TL;DR Big Finish are resurrecting Class in the form of six full-cast audio dramas.

As one of like 5 people who actually watched class, I wonder where the hell they'll go with the story. I just hope they don't use that crappy weeping angels cliffhanger. They're so oversed. Still, it would be nice to have the plot threads, like April being that mini-pyrovile thing, either rapped up or expanded on. I guess I want an end so I can finally forget about the show.

Ok I *think* that "Armchair Psychologist" thought that Colin Baker was Tom Baker's son... funny, because Tom is only 9 years older than Colin.
No, they are not father and son. Also, Colin Baker is one of the better doctors, if you ignore how shit he was in the original tv show- the big finish audios totally redeemed him.

Er... I hate to say it this way, but... no shit Sherlock... (YES Moffat's Sherlock)

EDIT: Uhhh... thoughts on The Last Adventure?

EDIT: Uhhh... thoughts on The Last Adventure?
Despite having no fucking clue who two of the companions in it even were- (even to this day, as I do not generally follow the main range after the point where I mostly stopped following it) -And actively disliking what little I saw of Constance Clarke, I actually loved the Last Adventure. It was both the 6th Doctor regeneration story we deserved, AND the one we needed right now. It even found a way to bring in Jago and Litefoot (which I have made my love for very clear here already). I'd even say if you consider all 4 episodes to be one story, it is my all time favorite "regeneration story" of all time. (Funny enough, second place is probably "Night of the Doctor"... I was similarly psyched for both, and they are incidentally my first and second favorite doctors respectively.)
