Yeah. They let him show his range by starting as goofy and moving towards angry and bitter about his past. I always preferred Eccleston and Tennant, but grew to really like his run as it got darker. But then they chickened out and hit a bullshit reset button.

I think they just need to have a Dalek appear on-screen once per season, as Series 10 didn't have a Dalek episode but there was a cameo from one in The Pilot.

The deal is that a Dalek needs to appear once a year (hence two appearances in season 7 I think) or the Nation estate will look elsewhere to use Daleks and likely bar the BBC from using them in the future. They likely mean that the Daleks won't be featured in a big role of any kind this season, but for what ever reason they could have decided that they don't need to use their most iconic monster.

The video focuses mostly on some recent creative decisions, writer drama, the fanbase, certain scenes and especially the Christmas special from last year as the main example of the state of Doctor Who (which revolved around tarnishing the First Doctor's legacy by making him a racist, sexist 50s old man stereotype) along with a follow-up to the new female Doctor Who. I'm sure some of you have seen the Christmas Special.

Basically most of the video minus the recent stuff for those that didn't see the Christmas Special, but I recommend you just watch the fucking Cullen video anyway.

Most of the comments are divided with some even praising this characterization of the First that's shamefully dubbed a "stupid bloody ass".
