So couldnt make it through 13 s1 e2. Liked 12 for the most bit, kept hoping he'd channel more Malcolm Tucker into the role and liked seeing the old Thick of It crew again. Missy was stupid fun for a Master regen, kinda sad that shes gone now. That Heaven Sent teleporter castle puzzle is probably my favorite bit of all Nu-who, even the music was great. 11 was a wash. Though I am probably now going to have to watch the new Jumanji because as a good friend of mine put it "I dont think Amy Ponds hot pants could be any shorter" I trend towards Classic Who ALOT more. Like I could just throw a dart at a random serial an be fine it has that classic who charm. Nu-Who has that same charm but it gets bogged down so much of the time, and often requires just skipping episodes.

Call me optimistic, but I'm hoping we get a companion death next series. (It's been ages since we've had a proper one because they keep wussing out at the last second.)

The best one to die would obviously be Yaz because she's barely a character anyway. (I literally think we learned more about her mom last series than we did her, and her mom was only in 1 episode.)

The worst to die I think would be Ryan. His actor was fairly wooden and so the character came off as a bit flat, but the potential is definitely there for improvement.

Let's be honest though, if anyone's gonna die it'll be the fucking white male.

In other news:
Dark Universe, a monthly adventure that looks like the prequel to Doom Coalition is due for release this month.
Next month will feature the Seventh Doctor taking on James Dreyfus as the Master (from the First Doctor Adventure story, The Destination Wars)
The Early Adventures has been shortened from four to two stories, with The Home Guard featuring James Dreyfus as the Master and Daughter of the Gods being a First/Second Doctor crossover featuring the short-lived companion Katerina.
John Simm reprises the role of the master in Ravenous 4 Masterful, due for release next year. This set features a shitload of Masters (except James Dreyfus), including Derek Jacobi...
Last month, the final War Master set, Anti-Genesis, was released.
The next Eighth Doctor Adventures sets will be set on the year 2020 on Earth, and features Sergeant Andy Davidson from Torchwood.
Oh, and two new entries in the Lost Stories, Nightmare Country and The Ultimate Evil.

He was easily the best part of the episode, but as you've no doubt guessed that really isn't saying much.

I saw this. If this is the best they can do with Stephen, I see no point in watching everything. This looks forced to me. If they're going to joke about the doctor being a woman then do something funnier than "hur hur, the doctor has to be a man!" It's a lazy joke and a bad attempt at satire. They should do better. It's a shame.

What happened to Missy? Thought she became the Master when she knocked of Simms.
Simm knocked her up off right after she killed him.

Huge chunks of the comments here refer to some shit that James Dreyfus apparently said and it had the people on reddit in full chimp-out. Most of the people in the second link who ask what the hell he said that was so bad get referred to the first link and agree that Dreyfus is apparently a huge transphobe who hurts people with words. (surprise surprise)
Only things I could find from around this time are this:
and then some other shit about the prime minister:

And him responding to the meltdown:

Notice how Moffat left all his OCs unusable, or at least very hard to justify to bring back before Chibnall took over so he wouldn't have any chance of using them. Missy and Simm's master died, River Song finally closed her loop and is dead, Bills and Clara ran away to explore the universe, etc. He only left UNIT and Chibnall disbanded them anyway (or so I heard).

Considering what current year Who is doing, I think he was smart about that. Better end their stories yourself before someone else ruins them.

Didn’t Gareth Roberts get unpersoned and removed from a book compilation for upsetting the trans crowd?
Also has Chibnall always acted this woke in his works? Or is it just him trying to walk on eggshells to not upset the sjw crowd?

Chibs disbanded UNIT (and apparently Torchwood as well) just so he could make a low effort orangeman/Brexit bad commentary.

The funny thing is, with how incompetently UNIT handled the illegal alien Syrian Zygon invasion, they *deserved* to be disbanded.

Counter-point: chibby don't touch miss muffet's characters because some were liked and they don't want them to potentially overshadow his own stuff. Anything featured on this show is fair game for use after the creator leaves, I think (otherwise the Master wouldn't have been a thing outside of the Third Doctor era), it's probably just professional courtesy that these days it doesn't happen particularly often (that and actor availability).

More competent (or ballsier, at least) writers could've turned that into something interesting, maybe cast light on the fact that the Doctor resolved the situation by putting a gun to everyone's head (including innocent civilians who were unaware). Maybe even turn larger factions of UNIT into a new villain, under some anti-alien/anti-secrecy visionary.

But that's too scary and complex for children who must be influened correctly mollycoddled.

Also Torchwood was more or less defunct by the end of the RTD era, they were just a small group running around in Miracle Day, and I don't know what their deal is in Aliens/God Among Us because I haven't listened to it yet don't spoil me, so chibnall didn't ruin it yet
