SJWs like Chibnall are racists who think they have to hand out pieces of their cultural figures to the deprived non-White people (who they class as a different culture regardless of where that person was born and raised). You know what would actually show respect for different cultures? Showing an interest in those other cultures and watching what they already have rather than assuming they're desperate for a hand-out from you. How many films from actually African directors has Chibnall watched? How many South American TV shows? Chibnall wants to think he's demonstrating his love of non-White people by gifting them a White character? That's arse backwards - you show your love by observing what is there not trying to make theirs your own.

They're racists who think that if you have a black fan of your show, they're too dumb just to actually be a fan of the show and respect its canon, and they're something like Sims and if you just feed them some token diversity character, it will increase their happiness number, even if you've shit all over the show they love just as much as your white fans do.

As if they're too stupid to figure out they're being shallowly pandered to like they're goddamn idiots.

As if they don't hate this shit just as much as the "Nazis" and "chuds."

For an example, I've seen a LOT of black dragonballlZ fans. And there ain't many blacks in that show.

r/Gallifrey is not happy about this. Nearly every new thread there is complaining about this utter shitshow. I’ve barely seen anyone say this is a good idea. Even Dobson is keeping unusually quiet about it. I thought he’d be all over this.

So for me, a huge part of the appeal of the character of the Doctor was that he wasn’t special. He was this guy, actually pretty crap as Time Lords go, who nicked a TARDIS and goes around righting wrongs because he’s a good guy. Making him/her THE MOST IMPORTANT detracts from the character IMO.

I couldn't agree with you more than I already do. What happened to "scraping through with 51% on the second attempt" as Romana once cuttingly remarked. I really liked the interplay of the Doctor's inventiveness and experience against Romana's accomplished scientific mind and the way she was brilliant but could still learn from him yet was also more intelligent in many ways. And I also really liked the idea that the Doctor though brilliant to us was a drop-out in his own society.

Also, if all Time Lords are genetically part Doctor, what does that mean for the Doctor's marriage to River Song? A little bit cosanguinous is it not? Ditto for his child and grandchild? Exactly how many toes does Susan have? And are they webbed?
