I saw this tweet about an "All ages welcome" christmas themed dragshow that tours around the United States and is currently in Dallas Texas. It disgusted me to read about it and nothing disgusted me more then seeing the videos uploaded from a live 'performance'. There were children in this audience, and multiple times throughout the show these children were interacted with by pedophiles 'drag queen performers'.

Also forgive me if this is being documented in another thread (I still feel like I have to lurk moar)

Did you happen to find a list of the names of the performers? I try to link up personas and irl identities for posterity. I am getting the flu and need to take some benadryl so I can attempt sleep. As for “allowed”, the people who organize this are true believers who genuinely feel that this is good and apparently everyone, children included, is just one supporting community away from coming out of the closet, so all ages it is.

As for deviancy, best I can think of is that some people believe that everyone is as sexually driven as they are, and that I guess filtering is I guess denying who they are, and I guess one of the things of being “out and proud” is “let your freak flag fly”.

Wasn’t there some academic paper where some drag queens said that sexual deviancy and displays is an inherent part of queerness?

I just checked this out, the cities chosen are... Interesting. You don't see any of the danger zone cities like Portland, Ore., Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago... It seems pretty well curated to be a tour of blue cities in red states to generate the most controversy and protests. Other than the necessary California and New York stops. Might be my imagination but it really did stick out to me how many southern and Midwest locations there were when you'd think adding pacific northwest locations would be an immediate sell-out?
