Out of boredom, I gave a read to the super manga.
I want to say that the story arcs before Moro and Granolah are as much of a mixed bag as the cartoon, it does a list of specific thing better, plenty of stuff worse, and too much bad shit is left unchanged, with the tournament of power being offensively bad.
I find the Moro arc decent, but it barely sticks the landing, mainly due to how the mab goat himself ends up turning into goat Cell near the end of the arc, which wad was fucking idiotic, the rest was fine, not the greatest thing ever, a few parts could have been removed entirely, but as an arc it was enjoyable enough.
I like Granolah's arc, the enviroment the whole story is set is pretty pretty nice, the characters introduced are also written well enough and have interesting designs, there are some parts of the flashback that I didn't really like, mainly around a single character featured in them, but the rest was good enough for me.
Didn't bothered watching super hero nor reading the super hero arc, aside of the first and last chapters, its fine stuff for all I know, and I'm glad they do something different with goten.
Overall, I think Toyotaro is neither a complete fraud nor a visionaey, he can do shit right, if he puts effort, his comic (written alongside Toriyama) was surely better than daima and gt, but the training whells are gone for him, so I am curious to see if he manages to make something good now or he ends up failing like a retard.
