Dragon thread - A thread about cool dragons

Seath the Scaleless has always been a favorite of mine, for non-souls fans (aka people with lives) this dude was born without scales (as the name implies). He is super pissed about this and decides to rat out his own kind to the giants (its a long story) in order to not only get a wealth of knowledge that he would use to try to create artificial scales out of crystals or some shit, but also gets some giant pussy as well.

I bet the other Everlasting Dragons bullied the shit out of him, turning him into a vengeful incel nerd.

And it wasn't just the gods he was getting pussy from. He also started kidnapping human maidens for his fucked up experiments (which at least one loretuber speculates is why Havel the Rock hates Seath; he may have kidnapped Havel's girl).

Poor Priscilla, she did nothing wrong and was still exiled to the Painted World.

oh fuck yeah they probably bullied him, why else would he try to create "The Scale Club For Men"?
as for Priscilla, it was probably for the best, can you imagine how much shit a person that can turn invisible can cause?

This is an amusing piece of lore from D&D regarding Steel Dragons.

“They preferred to invest in property and business unlike other dragons, who preferred to hoard monetary treasures. Some steel dragons did hoard items, but they preferred to hoard works of art, antiquities, books, finery, magic items or servants.[8]

“Come check out my dragon’s hoard.” *a bunch of deeds and contracts*

That is the perfect, and most fun, way to blend into a city as a dragon in human form. Just be an eccentric old-money guy or gal and live in a mansion, and throw parties like The Great Gatsby.

You DMs can take that idea if you want

DRAGON AUTISTS ASSEMBLE

Been a huge fan of these fuckers since I was small and I haven't stopped enjoying them since. I wish I had more art of dragons saved to spam here, but unfortunately most of my dragon worship is contained to physical books about their mythology or fanart of dragon-type Pokémon so I can't really share that on the farms lol. If I remember correctly, /tg/ has (or at least used to have) threads sharing dragon-related art all the time and that's the best thing about that place, so if I ever hate myself enough to return to 4chan, I'll definitely post the best stuff from there over here.

In the meantime, does anyone here have a favorite type of dragon? Hydras wyverns wyrms etc. Alternatively, do you even consider those variants to be true dragons? The categorization of "dragon" is so broad at this point that it's sort of hard to be objective about it, so I personally just count anything that looks dragon-y enough to my eyes. Hydras and [whatever Quetzalcoatl is] are some of my favorites.

I fucking love dragons, they're my favorite mythical creature. I'm so obsessed with drawing dragons and birds that whenever I draw anything else it comes out wonky.

Say, no How to Train Your Dragon yet? I loved the first movie as a kid. I even played the PS3 game, it was surprisingly good, but that may be the nostalgia talking.

But Night Furies are overrated, I prefer Monstrous Nightmares, Grapple Grounders and Deadly Nadders. Those last ones kinda look like blue and gold macaws.

Ancalagon the Black was the single largest dragon to ever exist in Middle-Earth. A mountain-sized dragon, he was bred by Morgoth to serve as a weapon of last resort. His only appearance was when Morgoth sic'ed him on the Host of Valinor, where he was able to drive them back before Earendil slew him.

Gandalf has stated not even Ancalagon could melt the One Ring.

Me too! But I was really into magical creatures in general, not just dragons. There was like a renewed interest in medieval fantasy during the 90s and early 2000 with books and movies that had dragons in it (like the LOTR movies, Dragonheart and I think there was a dragon in Harry Potter? There are more but these are the first names that come to my mind).

This is a personal favorite by Ciruelo Cabral:

Pokemon Violet Pokedex entry: It's said that Hydreigon grew ferocious because people in times long past loathed it, considering it to be evil incarnate and attacking it relentlessly.

Pokemon Scarlet Pokedex entry: Only the central head has a brain. It is very intelligent, but it thinks only of destruction.

He just needs a hug and someone to play board games with.🤗
