Drama between Smash communities

From what I saw apparently after evo a drunk smash player that was beloved by the community molested a smash cos player. :
I really don't know how to write this because this has never happened to me before but last night I was molested by Hyuga. We let him into our room because we did not want him wandering around Las Vegas drunk and alone. My boyfriend, DJ Jack, let him stay with us. I fell asleep next my boyfriend on the bed and I woke up to Cristian in between my boyfriend and I, rubbing against me and sliding his hands up my shirt and another down my pants. I'm Cuban and know a good amount of Spanish so I told him to leave me alone and to get back on the floor, repeatedly. He's drunk and doesn't get off me so I say it even LOUDER until someone in my room woke up to see what was going on. That person, Stefan, gets up and tells me immediately to sleep on the other bed where he was on and I changed beds. 15 minutes pass and I have still not fallen back asleep before Hyuga slides between the person I was on the bed with and tries to do it once again before Nick Riddle woke up and kicked him out of the room. Again, this has never happened to me and I was freightened so after they kicked him out I started to break down in tears. Did my "friend" actually attempt doing this to me? Why wouldn't he leave me alone? What if I was alone? We filed a police report.
This man was just picked up by VGbootcamp and is currently sponsored. I didn't know if I wanted to make this post but everyone felt I needed to only to prevent future incidents like this from happening ever again. Please be careful with anyone, regardless of friend or acquaintance.

Naturally it devolved into autism and the usual suspects when these types of incidents happen.
But yeah what happened was pretty scummy (and the guy who did it should face charges/punished),but I think people are just generally overreacting and virtue signalling way too hard.

Additional context: Hyuga is a top player of Super Smash Bros for Wii U, currently ranked as the second best player in all of Mexico and as the best Toon Link player currently in the game. He's likely going to be banned from professional competition after this.

This incident also allegedly happened at EVO which has been the largest fighting game tournament for more than a decade. Smash Bros was a more recent addition to the roster so this will likely reflect poorly on the game in the future.


Also of note is the Smash 4 player ESAM (real name Eric Lew). He's been notorious for his white knighting and drama queen shit on Twitter and this particular incident was no exception;

Mew2King is a lolcow already, he's done more than enough shit to qualify (the trip to Japan, the 7 3DS's, the time he accidentally defended Hitler). I just am hesitant to make a thread on him because I think he breaks the "no celebrities" rule.

Mew2King just has the unfortunate combination of autism, a crippling fear of God, and a complete lack of street smarts. He isn't a celebrity, but the dude has grown with help of handlers.
