Dreamhost is terminating my account.

Dreamhost's decision kicks the can. I've moved the domain. I will probably move it again to another registrar. I am registering other domains and putting them on replacements for Cloudflare, just in case.

This is not an urgent, fatal blow as much as it is another shaken pillar from a company/service which really has no business what so ever moderating content.

I opened my Dreamhost account over 12 years ago, in April 2009, and registered my first domain name at 16 with birthday money I had saved up. Dreamhost has been the registrar of kiwifarms dot net for its entire existence. Despite the problems we've faced in just the recent past, and despite all the services that we've had to find replacements for over the years, Dreamhost has - shockingly - been the only company to not fail in their role of providing basic Internet resources without senseless moderation for that entire time. This was not an easy job for them, and from what I understand, Dreamhost had their own customer support reply template for complaints related to our domain because the volume of complaints was numerous enough to warrant it.

Despite no evidence what so ever of any harassment towards Byuu, or even a confirmation of Byuu's suicide, the coordinated harassment campaign led by Hector Martin against Cloudflare and Dreamhost has yielded positive results in that Dreamhost is no longer our domain registrar. This sets an incredibly dangerous precedent and walks the Internet further down the path of oblivion. More of the Internet's underpinnings are consolidating, and what few companies remain independent are becoming more worthless and pussified by the minute.

Despite this shortcoming, Dreamhost has given me 14 days to move my domains over to someplace else and I am working on that now.

The path forward is getting narrower and more expensive.


If you're going to suggest replacements, do not suggest the following: GoDaddy, Gandi, Epik

We're on Cloudflare now but I'm not particularly happy about this because it creates a bigger single point of failure.

For the mob to cut his head off, wouldn't they need to first find where it actually connects? I always assumed he didn't even have a separate head and torso because he looks like the spawn of an orc fucking a potato

Fred Phelps was utterly nuts. According to two of his estranged sons, he was incredibly abusive and controlling to his entire family. It was like he wasn't satisfied unless he had somebody or something to spew vitriol at. Before he took up preaching, he was a lawyer and forced a lot of his kids into going to law school, too. He really seemed to enjoy suing people.

I also seem to recall that most of the members of the "church" were actually just his kids and their families.

There's something poetic about these people unable to resist the urge to convince other people's children they're LGBT but they can't let a forum on the internet exist in any shape or form

A lot of people believe this place reaches out and harasses retards and deviants (not mutually exclusive) due to lies told by retards and deviants.
