It's weird right? If you're a loliphile or a convicted pedophile sibling rapist sexual predator (Jeremy Bicha), you'd think these people would now throw stones in glass houses.

The weird thing is, if you bring up the truth about DeVault or Bitcha is any of the major forums (like HackerNews, some OSS subreddit, various Discourse forums) those posts immediately get flaged and sometimes get removed. There are people who were at conferences with Bicha, posting on Mastodon/Fediverse who had no idea about this guy, and would then bitch about replies that states the facts; disagree with how the information was presented by the source.

I get that Bicha has "paid his debt" or whatever and DeVault hasn't technically done anything illegal (although the loli stuff should be illegal in The Netherlands where he currently lives, no one seems to be prosecuting it) and people should in theory be able to move on, but the tech forums seem worse than that. I know just slightly more conservative bloggers who are completely shadowbanned from HN for slightly wrongthink views, while DeVault can be a total fucking aggressive piece of shit, and a pedo, and no one is willing to take action.

The big tech and FOSS forums are pretty much actively defending pedophiles and banning people who supper "fascism" whatever the fuck that is.

His profile is kind of weird. He has over 300 contributions on Github in the last year but most of them seem to be him adding to what is essentially a very inconvenient blog.

The only actual coding I could find was three different versions of 'Hello, World!' written in C# so if this is Drew's strongest soldier the fash better watch the fuck out.

Their rhetoric doesn't make sense, it's a mixture of demonstrating knowledge of shibboleths, conformity, and lame attempts at persuasion. But their behavior makes perfect sense: they simply hate western civilization because it has made life good for them. They have no struggle so they invent one. This goblin lives in the Netherlands and writes free software that he wants to purify of anything positive about western civilization. Hyperanomie.

Maybe it's one too many swirlies in high school; maybe it's retarded parents. I don't know and don't care, but you're right the behavior is consistent and makes perfect sense once you understand it. The things they say though are nonsense.

it's not any clearer than in drew: he gets jealous over somebody (rms for being a worldwide hacker icon and writing way better compilers than he ever could, vaxry for writing way better wayland compositors than he ever could) and then tries to find something "problematic" and raise a stink with people who are a lot like him and random well-meaning retards who want to fight for a cause but don't have strong principles that would prevent them from falling for things like this
